Our one night stay at W Toronto was planned as a special way to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and from the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel truly understands how to make meaningful occasions feel unforgettable. When they learned we were celebrating our anniversary, they congratulated us with real enthusiasm and went out of their way to elevate the experience. We were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade, which set the tone for the rest of our stay. Shortly after settling in, a beautiful welcome amenity arrived featuring delicate macarons and rich chocolates, an elegant and heartfelt gesture that made us feel truly valued rather than simply accommodated. The upgraded room itself was fantastic. It was impressively spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and unwind after a busy day. The design was sleek and modern, with a stylish aesthetic that felt both luxurious and comfortable. Everything was spotless, from the bathroom to the linens, reflecting a clear attention to detail and pride in presentation. The room felt calm, refined, and perfectly suited for a celebratory getaway. What made the stay especially memorable was how effortless everything felt. The staff anticipated needs before we had to ask, and their service struck the perfect balance between attentive and unobtrusive. It was evident that creating memorable guest experiences is a priority here. We left feeling genuinely grateful for how well our anniversary was recognized and celebrated. This was a short stay, but an impactful one. I had an absolutely outstanding experience at the W Toronto downtown, and I want to personally recognize Shakta, James, and Darina for making it truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the level of professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality was exceptional. Shakta went above and beyond to ensure every detail was handled seamlessly. We had a really lovely stay here for two nights. The hotel was clean, and the room layout was a little different than what we’re used to, but it worked well and we had no issues. We ordered room service a couple of times and really enjoyed it, and breakfast each morning was great. Definitely try the lemon ricotta pancakes, so good! A special shoutout to Kathy N, our breakfast server. She was super warm, friendly, and attentive. She made our mornings feel easy and welcoming, so we really appreciated her for that. We did have one small hiccup where housekeeping forgot to put the duvet cover on, which we didn’t realize until late at night. But the manager handled it quickly and professionally, which we really appreciated. Overall, a great experience and we cant wait to come back!

This is not an area of downtown where I am often looking for a coffee shop, but we found ourselves there on a weekday morning in desperate need of a good coffee and a small snack This is a café you could possibly miss from street level because of the window configuration. However,if you take time to stare into the windows you will see that this is a beautiful, comfortable, and contemporarily designed coffee bar with absolutely great coffee. Immediately upon entering the café, we were warmly greeted by the baristas and encouraged to find a seat before we came up to order. I am becoming increasingly aware of the hospitality aspects to a visit to a good café, especially when we are paying a reasonably high price for a cup of coffee. As it is obvious from my numerous reviews, I think Toronto has an absolutely amazing coffee scene, and what could really elevate that scene would be the attention to hospitality in the industry like that we experienced at the W cafe. There is absolutely nothing more welcoming than being acknowledged by the barista when you walk into a café and clearly directed to how the flow of the café works. We took our seats and then proceeded to the bar to order our coffee and were instructed that it would be delivered to us once it was prepared. In addition to this great service, our baristas were fully knowledgable about the coffee they were serving and discussed with me the different roast choices and why they were used for their different coffee preparations. On this occasion, I ordered my standard Cortado and my companion ordered a macchiato. Both were beautifully prepared and presented and brought to the table with the required accompanying glasses of water. I also had a almond croissant to accompany, my coffee, and it was fresh, and not too sweet. A really good addition to our order. Many cafes in the city are now working with the Barocco Coffee Roastery and I have been uniformly impressed by that selection of coffees. This was a first class coffee experience, and clearly should be a destination for a great coffee in this area of downtown

Had a great experience here with my girlfriend! We stayed for one night and were very pleased with the room and ambiance. The only issue we had was that it was pretty cold in the room despite me turning up the temperature, I’m guessing it was because our window was large (we had the terrace room) so a lot of the heat was let out that way. I do wish the heaters were stronger though. Also I wish the hotel had a pool or hot tub. While we were away from the room and came back, we were pleased with the fruit the staff provided us as well as candies on our pillows! A nice touch that other Marriott brands don’t do.

The W in Yorkville was amazing for our girls trip! First, the valet was super helpful and so kind when we pulled up. When we checked in the rooms were ready and they did not disappoint. Modern, spacious rooms with a different twist with an open concept bathroom yet private to a certain degree. Beds were very comfortable and we couldn't hear our neighbour's in adjoining rooms which was very much appreciated. From check in to check out we had the best service.

Amazing experience! Friendly staff, clean, professional atmosphere. Reasonable valet for $75 I guess. Rooms are awesome! Spacious, clean, modern and impressive. Room service was also reasonably priced and delicious (I had the hamburger n fries). An awesome bonus was an espresso machine for morning coffee. Be sure to check the pods for decaffeinated. I wasted 2 sugars and creamer on one :( My view was the courtyard which was perfect so not much sunlight came in. Walking distance to just about anything you could need and a short Uber to the stadium. All in all I highly recommend staying here if your budget allows. I was very temptedto stay another night. I will return!

I will say, I get the appeal of this hotel. The location is fantastic and the parking is great. I was worried about parking but literally pull in off of Bloor St and you can park. The service was great, everybody was very nice. The hotel amenities were good like the fitness club, multiple lounges, live music, etc. What left something to be desired was the room. I read reviews about the bathroom and thought people were blowing it out of proportion but they do suck. The rooms are all about esthetics and not function. Just figuring out the lights and what you can use at what time is tough. If you wake up early you need to figure out how to operate in the dark because otherwise some of the lights you just can't use. There were two fire alarms that went off on Thursday at 615am and Friday at the exact same time. The TV wouldnt display the guide on it so it was only so functional. Great location, looks great, and the staff are nice but the rooms make it a little tough sometimes.

We stayed at W in Toronto for 5 nights in September. What a lovely hotel, the room decor was gorgeous, the bathrooms were gorgeous and the amenities were great. We had seen a lot of bad comments regarding room layout, I’m not sure if we were just lucky but our toilet was within bathroom and not on its own with frosted glass door facing bedroom. Our bathroom door faced the wardrobe as you entered the room, the door was frosted glass but didn’t face the bedroom. Our room was a deluxe guest room. The room was spacious, the robes were very cosy. Room keeping was great too. The hotel bar was lovely, such a cosy relaxing vibe. We had room service a few times but didn’t find the time to eat at their restaurant or breakfast area but stopped for drinks in lobby bar couple of times which was very chill. The service was amazing, the staff were so polite, happy to help & friendly. Location wise we felt was great for first time visiting Toronto, you could get an uber to other side of city for about $13 or less and they were there within couple of mins. You are also around the corner from Yorkville which is a lovely area. Would definitely recommend and return!
