The W Hotel in Toronto is a joy to stay at. W hotels pay a lot of attention to visuals — everything is coordinated and modern and contemporary. They hire great staff too. A shout out to Carol-Lynn at the front desk and Kathy in the restaurant. I had an issue that was quite unique, and Carol-Lynn thought outside the box and solved it. And did it with a warm, friendly smile. The W Toronto has good food too. Cathy helped make the meal memorable and was accommodating as well. The W Toronto is a delight!

The rooms and service are always amazing. I consider this a very sexy hotel for a date weekend! The staff treat you really really well. I always feel like im at a restort with how they treat us. The restaurants and bars in the hotel are beautiful. Pricey! But its a high end hotel downtown Toronto, so of course its pricey! It also smells incredible, whatever air freshener they use in their lobby is memorable!

We had an exceptional stay at the W Hotel Toronto while in town for my Dad’s Pathways hip surgery, and I truly can’t say enough about the level of care we received. From the moment we arrived, the front desk team set the tone—warm, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful. Throughout our stay, it was clear that the staff weren’t just responding to requests, they were anticipating our needs, which made a meaningful difference given the circumstances of our visit. A special thank you to Ullas, who provided outstanding service and consistently went above and beyond, and to Ariel, who ensured everything in our room—including the TV—was set up seamlessly and working perfectly. Malu’s attention to detail in housekeeping did not go unnoticed; the room was always immaculate and thoughtfully maintained. Traveling for a medical procedure can be stressful, but the team at W Hotel Toronto made the experience feel supported, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Their attention to detail, kindness, and professionalism stood out at every touchpoint. Thank you all for making a challenging time so much easier! We could just focus on each other and Dad’s recovery. The only item of note: Dad is over 6 ft, if you are tall with mobility challenges, the bed in the accessible room had a “lip” and it is a little low. And don’t be afraid to request chairs to the room, the “orange” chairs with arms were very good. (And don’t skip dining downstairs and treat yourself at Tono!! Absolutely worth it.)

A great international hotel experience with genuine professionalism. Khalid and Konnal at the front desk were both excellent — attentive, welcoming, and professional. I've met konnal at either w dubai mina or w yas hotel, he looked familiar face. I was upgraded to room 1124 — clean, nicely appointed, and a pleasant surprise with chocolate . The only minor inconvenience is that the room is a bit of a walk from the lift. The hotel overall is clean and well-kept, with a great location and friendly staff throughout. I wouldn't rank it among the top five W properties I've stayed at — it lacks a spa and doesn't have the range of dining options you'd find at other W hotels — but it delivers on the essentials: cleanliness, location, and hospitality. We had a really lovely stay here for two nights. The hotel was clean, and the room layout was a little different than what we’re used to, but it worked well and we had no issues. We ordered room service a couple of times and really enjoyed it, and breakfast each morning was great. Definitely try the lemon ricotta pancakes, so good! A special shoutout to Kathy N, our breakfast server. She was super warm, friendly, and attentive. She made our mornings feel easy and welcoming, so we really appreciated her for that. We did have one small hiccup where housekeeping forgot to put the duvet cover on, which we didn’t realize until late at night. But the manager handled it quickly and professionally, which we really appreciated. Overall, a great experience and we cant wait to come back!

This is not an area of downtown where I am often looking for a coffee shop, but we found ourselves there on a weekday morning in desperate need of a good coffee and a small snack This is a café you could possibly miss from street level because of the window configuration. However,if you take time to stare into the windows you will see that this is a beautiful, comfortable, and contemporarily designed coffee bar with absolutely great coffee. Immediately upon entering the café, we were warmly greeted by the baristas and encouraged to find a seat before we came up to order. I am becoming increasingly aware of the hospitality aspects to a visit to a good café, especially when we are paying a reasonably high price for a cup of coffee. As it is obvious from my numerous reviews, I think Toronto has an absolutely amazing coffee scene, and what could really elevate that scene would be the attention to hospitality in the industry like that we experienced at the W cafe. There is absolutely nothing more welcoming than being acknowledged by the barista when you walk into a café and clearly directed to how the flow of the café works. We took our seats and then proceeded to the bar to order our coffee and were instructed that it would be delivered to us once it was prepared. In addition to this great service, our baristas were fully knowledgable about the coffee they were serving and discussed with me the different roast choices and why they were used for their different coffee preparations. On this occasion, I ordered my standard Cortado and my companion ordered a macchiato. Both were beautifully prepared and presented and brought to the table with the required accompanying glasses of water. I also had a almond croissant to accompany, my coffee, and it was fresh, and not too sweet. A really good addition to our order. Many cafes in the city are now working with the Barocco Coffee Roastery and I have been uniformly impressed by that selection of coffees. This was a first class coffee experience, and clearly should be a destination for a great coffee in this area of downtown
