The Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel offers a convenient location near Rogers Centre and downtown attractions, frequently praised for its prime positioning and friendly staff. However, recent reviews highlight inconsistencies in room upkeep and service quality, with some guests citing issues such as dilapidated rooms, operational issues and limited lounge offerings. Price point is high for the standard room and its amenities.
I stayed here on a solo trip to the Jays game last Saturday. The hotel is very conveniently located and super easy to access with a large SUV ($50 to park daily) It’s quite pricey for a standard king bed room ($724.00 for one night) but I was pretty happy to be upgraded to a suite. Since this trip was sponsored by my employer, my costs were covered as I could never justify that price point for a basic hotel. It does have everything a person could need, a pullout couch if I had a my family and a small nespresso maker. The room at first glance is nicely furnished and modern, but on closer inspection, it’s quite dilapidated with sloppy workmanship around the painting, baseboards, caulking, dirty corners etc…The room I was in needed a filter replaced and the staff were excellent and swapped out the old dirty one as soon as I asked. That was great. Overall, a convenient place to stay, however, not really worth that price level for a 4 ??… but that is how supply and demand works I guess. Tough to be middle class in 2026. Hopefully I’ll be back. (Not for $724 a night though)
We booked here for the weekend based on location and having a pool for my son. The pool and hot tub were closed and that wasn’t noted when we booked. We got locked out of our room because the card scan battery died and had to wait for someone to fix it. The breakfast was not good. We wished we would have saved our money getting a room without breakfast so we could eat somewhere else. Overall I would not stay here again. The location was perfect. Close to all train stations and walkable to many places but there are better options around this area!
Beautiful property attached to Rogers Centre in the heart of the city. Easy to get around. Valet was quick and courteous. Front desk staff and housekeeping very inviting. Ate at SportsNet Grille after Blue Jays game and had an amazing view. Service was great for a Sunday night and we got to experience an NHL playoff vibe within the lounge. We will definitely be back.
I stayed at the Marriott this weekend for a Dental conference and second night for a Jays game. The first night we were spoiled with room 418 that looked into the dome. Amazing room, can’t say anything negative about that experience. We will definitely rent that again for a game in the future. The second night I stayed in room 575. I want for first day that Kevin at the front was amazing and helped me get into my second room by 11:30. I basically was able to check out and re check in. Room 575 was also a great room. Far walk from the elevator for those that have mobility issues. I loved the view of the bridge to the dome… top notch for people watching. The size of the room was amazing. The beds in all rooms weee very comfortable. This is our new favourite go to for Toronto stays. The location can’t be beat and the service from the front desk was A+
Another successful little mini get away, while staying at the Mariott - 1 Blue Jays Way in Toronto for our yearly Blue Jays game. Thank you to Trevor and Felicia who welcomed us back like we're family. We always get the special greeting and get treated like VIP's. We appreciate your hospitality more than you can imagine. We also want to thank Matt, the valet guy, who remembers us from our previous trips. Overall great service, room with the baseball view was awsome and our meals at Sportnset Barr and Grill were great. Definitely recommend this hotel due to all the reasons above.
This hotel has a excellent location but honestly lacks any soul. Everything is ackward from the pool, the rooms are lackluster and the staff look very sad. The house keeping staff were extremely kind and friendly. There was one gentleman that was helpful but the difference between this hotel and Marriott near Nathan Philips Square is outstanding. We won't be returning for several reasons. One thing after another!
We had an amazing stay at the Toronto City Centre Marriott, and a huge part of that was thanks to Khawaish at the front desk. She was incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived and went above and beyond to make our stay special. She surprised us with a fantastic room upgrade and truly made my girlfriend’s birthday feel extra special — her thoughtfulness and professionalism did not go unnoticed. I also want to give a big shoutout to the valet and bellman, who were both outstanding. Super welcoming, friendly, and genuinely hospitable — they made everything feel seamless from arrival to departure. Exceptional service all around. We’ll definitely be back!
I travel a lot and this was a very unique experience with a room looking out at baseball field! Great onprem bar/restaurant with ability to accomodate large parties. Holly was very friendly and fast Gym looks great; onprem Starbucks; very nice club level with free drinks, breakfast and snacks, including high end coffee machine
This review is to compliment Khwaish (front desk staff) for the phone support she provided me ahead of my stay in May. Khawaish took the time to answer my questions and was helpful in making reservations notes for a special occasion celebration. If this is the type of service I will be in store for, I will be looking forward to my stay at this property. Thanks again, Khawaish!
I really liked his hotel, My girlfriend and I spent one night and it was great! We booked with a package that included breakfast, late check out, early check in, and game bands to the Rec Room. The value was great! The room was really clean and modern, I loved the soft fluffy pillows and view was pretty good for the 8th floor. The gym is huge, change rooms were clean, and the pool was great. The breakfast buffet included was pretty nice too, nothing special but had all the stuff you'd expect. The only Cons were: - Ice maker on our floor didn't work - TV brightness couldn't be adjusted Other than that, we had a great time at the Marriott! Would go again!
