The Toronto Airport Marriott Hotel is experiencing ongoing renovations, leading to noise concerns for some guests. While staff interactions are frequently praised, the hotel exhibits both positive and negative feedback regarding room quality and service consistency. The hotel offers convenient airport shuttle service and a range of amenities.
Hotel is being renovated. Prepare for some mornings noises. Service is good beds are comfortable. Price is right. Shuttle to airport was great driver was friendly and helpful ?
We ended up staying at this hotel due to an unexpected flight lay over. Check in was not the friendliest I’ve experienced. I was over charged from my booking price but a competent clerk fixed it in the morning as we needed a late check out. The room was a bit tired but they are obviously working on updates. The construction noise was loud above us but we were ok with it. Here is where they excelled. The Wayside eatery was very good. The staff that we interacted with and enjoyed were the hard working servers DJ, Teresa, Donovan and bartender Andrea. Thanks for the chat Andrea. Also a mention to the doorman/bellman Joseph for the chat and helping us with the shuttle. Wrapping it up. All in all a good experience.
Nice rooms with very accommodating staff. There is currently construction going on the high floors pretty well day and it’s incredibly disruptive. Impossible to sleep or relax in my room on the 5th floor. Hard to justify the larger price point. The staff were able to move me to a lower floor which I was thankful for.
Very out dated. I for a minute thought we were at the wrong place when we walked i to our room comparing to other places we have stayed. We also had the worst view hoping to see an air plane or 2 instead im looking at a snow roof with no view. I have to agree with another review this is almost a very depressing room it screams motel.most likely wont even stay the night take the loss and just drive home after a short rest. Kids running up and down hallways does not scream restful sleep.
Second stay in the last few months, find the location great with multiple restaurants within walking distance if required. Recently stayed in a renovated room on the 9th floor as a Titanium member. Was checked in by Samarina (I hope I got it right) her attention to detail was exceptional. Really enjoyed the room and M lounge for drinks, snacks and breakfast. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and went beyond the expected. Will return again.
The hotel has a lovely M lounge offered as a price add on and the concierge king level room. I enjoy this space as it has wrap around glass floor to ceiling windows with soothing relaxing views. The refreshments, apps and snacks are great here alongside the coffee etc. The restaurant is great and I had the lovely waitress Lucy for breakfast, so kind. The staff at the front desk are efficient and welcoming also the housekeeping and security. The conference room is beautiful and they have several gala room types for different occasions. Finally, the pool and jacuzzi are great and a good way to rest. The scenery is beautiful overlooking the ravine and river. Attached to the pool is the 24 hour fitness centre which again has glass walls which make it such an open and inviting space. There is an onsite parking lot that is payable for nightly rates. The airport shuttle service works throughout the day and into the night and this is at no cost. There is free printing service and locked key elevator service; added security system to keep guests safe. There is a games room with arcade style play station however you need an account to log in. All in all, it seems to be a one of a kind hotel in town for the reasons listed above.
We stay at this property 3-4 times a year during layovers. The staff and service have always been great. Most recently over New Years eve and day we have to send a shout out to Krystle in the restaurant. She was outstanding. Staff had called in and she was left to service the whole restaurant basically be herself. She provided courteous and efficient friendly service to everyone without making it look like she was stressed. Front desk staff have always been excellent for us as well.
The staff at the Toronto Airport Marriott have been wonderful. Everyone. From the shuttle driver, to the front desk (Amy) to the MClub attendant (Abigail). I was also able to communicate with the hotel before arriving a they accommodated my special request. My first time in Toronto and they gave me great tips on where to go and especially how to take the train downtown. Honestly, one of the best staff treatment I can remember among my Marriott stays. Maybe because I'm in Canada and not the US! Rooms are basic Marriott style but a little dated. They are renovating floor by floor, so will be completely updated soon.
Restaurant gave me food I was allergic to - luckily saw it before I took a bite. Housekeeping failed to provide wash cloths. Internet smashed unusable slow even with maintenence coming to the room. Being a Marriott Platinum Bonvoy with well over 20 years experience with Marriott, I would expect much better service from a full service Marriott hotel. On a positive note, the concierge service was excellent! Wish the rest of the hotel had that level of service.
First time staying at a Marriott and definitely my last. After 20 hours of travel, every part of the experience was bad: the shuttle had no space for me, the room smelled, the property felt run down, my card was authorized twice at check-in, and even basic water wasn’t available (reception told me there were fountains on every floor — there weren’t). Nothing about this stay reflected the reliability or comfort I expected. Easily the worst hotel experience I’ve had in years.
