This luxury hotel offers upscale rooms with stunning views of the city, lake, and CN Tower, complemented by exceptional service and high-end dining options. While recent reviews highlight outstanding hospitality and thoughtful amenities, a subset of guests report billing errors and inflexibility regarding reservation changes affecting their experience.
I had a reservation at The Ritz-Carlton Toronto but unfortunately was unable to stay due to circumstances completely outside of my control. My Emirates flight from Toronto to Dubai was pushed back by approximately two weeks due to major travel disruptions affecting flights in the Middle East. As a resident of British Columbia, there are limited options to travel to Dubai. My itinerary required flying to Toronto the night before in order to catch the Emirates flight the following day. When my flight schedule changed, I contacted the hotel hoping they could help adjust my reservation dates. I fully understand hotels have policies regarding reservation changes. However, what was disappointing was the complete lack of flexibility or willingness to assist, even though the situation was clearly outside of my control and widely reported. During the same trip I had reservations at several other hotels, and they were all able to accommodate the change or offer reasonable solutions. Unfortunately, The Ritz-Carlton Toronto was the only property that refused to offer any assistance. For a luxury brand known for service, I expected at least some effort to help in an unforeseen situation like this. Travel disruptions can happen to anyone, and how a hotel supports its guests during those moments says a lot about its commitment to hospitality. I hope management reviews this situation and considers showing more flexibility to guests affected by major travel disruptions in the future. I would also welcome the opportunity to discuss this situation directly with management if there is any possibility of finding a reasonable resolution. (Response back to Owner) Dear Ritz-Carlton Toronto Reservations Team, Thank you for your response. I understand that the booking was made through Expedia. However, I have been in active communication with Expedia regarding this matter, and they have confirmed that they attempted to contact your property multiple times to request approval for a date change due to the extraordinary travel disruptions affecting my Emirates flight. Unfortunately, according to Expedia, they were unable to receive the necessary authorization from the property to proceed with any accommodation or modification. For transparency, I have attached a screenshot from Expedia confirming that they attempted to reach out to the hotel on my behalf. Given the circumstances — an international flight disruption that was entirely outside of my control — I had hoped the property would be willing to show some flexibility, especially considering Ritz-Carlton’s reputation for exceptional guest service. At this point, I would sincerely appreciate if the hotel could review the situation once more and work with Expedia to authorize a reasonable resolution, such as allowing the date change. I value the Ritz-Carlton brand and was hoping to experience the property during my trip, which makes this situation particularly disappointing. I look forward to your reconsideration. Incredible experience from start to finish. Hospitality staff were very respectful and courteous, and were more than willing to help with any questions. It was my first stay at the Ritz for a private gala, and I had made an honest oversight on my booking. Upon telling the hotel manager (Marvin, I believe), he went out of his way to ensure I get the right booking deal for gala members, which was a great treat! Service with the dining staff was also impeccable. Overall a wonderful experience and beautiful room. I will definitely be back!
Compliments to the entire team at the Ritz-Carlton Toronto! From the moment we arrived, the service level was exceptional. We received a welcoming note from the general manager, Lukas Boeckmann and many others on his team assisted with making our stay memorable. Special thanks to Chad from EPOCH (one of the hotel restaurants) who went out of his way to have a special beverage not offered at the hotel, purchased and sent to our room with his compliments. The housekeeping staff was amazing and we were fortunate enough to work with Luisa during our stay. We also had the pleasure of working with Paul as he performed double duty both as house-car driver and as a member of the bell staff team. Finally, thanks to the front desk team who helped shape our stay with helpful suggestions and secured a beautiful room for our visit. Strong recommendation for this Ritz-Carlton property!
We celebrated my husband’s birthday with a staycation at The Ritz-Carlton, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional from start to finish. Farhan welcomed us with the brightest smile and ensured that every detail of our stay was taken care of with warmth and professionalism right from the moment we arrived. The spa experience truly stood out. Cristina, Raluca, and Islande were absolutely phenomenal - gracious, highly skilled, and incredibly attentive. They went above and beyond to make the celebration feel special, thoughtfully offering sparkling wine while we relaxed at the spa. Their service was refined, warm, and truly world-class. Our in-room dining experience was equally impressive. Room service was prompt and seamless, and the food quality exceeded expectations. We also enjoyed dinner at Epoch and breakfast at Loca, and both experiences were outstanding. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was impeccable - attentive without being intrusive. Overall, The Ritz-Carlton delivered a flawless and memorable birthday celebration. Every touchpoint reflected excellence, hospitality, and genuine care. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and look forward to returning.
Arrival was interesting as we didn't see any Valet. Eventually someone did come over. Great place. Staff very friendly. Jenny at the club lounge, phenomenal! Surprised no chargers in the rooms. QR Code for in room dining wasn't working as I couldn't get my order for breakfast next day. No mini bar. Great toiletries, having a razor and shaving cream was a nice touch. Not having my room on Club Lounge floor disappointing. Great location to see a game or a show. Toca restaurant was wonderful and Grace our server was very nice and made our dinner special.
Amazing experience with my kids at the bar , set up for Christmas decor. No tables to sit, you had to stand. Seasonal drinks were really good and place was magical. It is a smaller space so doesnt fit a lot of people.

Excellent service that really embodies the vision of the Ritz Carlton. we were visiting with two children for a professional meeting. The staff made us feel very welcome. They went above and beyond to ensure we have a room, although we arrived early all learning directions in all the restaurants in the hotel or outstanding. Special mention to Santiago from Toca as well as Zachary from Epoch Who were very attentive. I would like to specially think Mr. Nickolas from the reception who arranged for us to have a room although We arrived early in order to accommodate the Children. I have stayed in several Ritz Carlton hotels In the United States, and I have to say that That the particular one in Toronto Canada surpasses all of them in terms of service. I think the staff seems to be much more in tune with a vision of the Ritz Carlton hospitality. Thank you!
I felt the front desk here is somewhat weird. Or pricing system is weird. (1) Weird1. Coz when I checked in, I found price has changed from around 990 s to over 1000…. Which was 9$ diff. So I showed him Marriott App and my email that I got when I booked: ok, I fixed the 9 $ difference when I checked in. (2) Weird2. My stay plan was 2 breakfasts for free + 100 $ credits that I can use at the restaurant. I booked in April and that info is obviously shown in email. So after I dine at breakfast place it shows price of 0, so I write tips only for server Brian. But when I checked out at the counter of Hotelier Armin, this man showed something over 200$ bill for food. He didnt consider that I had 100 cad credits for stay; I adjusted it and proved with my reservation email … of course. Also, he told me there is price limit for breakfast so I have to pay additional money for breakfast. And then I checked the bill from TOCA, including 18% service fee+ additional tips I wrote on the 0$ breakfast charge originally. I told him I dont want to double tip, of course, so he once again delete the tip I wrote. These whole experience from start to the last were very weird. Don’t’ you agree? You should be careful when reading the bills here. If not, You’ll get tricked. +to add on Weird3 The bill is still VERY wrong after my check out. I didnt drink anything from LANO cafe today. And there was unexpected 24.60 from LANO this morning on the email I got. I complained and made my folio revised again just now. SO! BE VERY CAREFUL.
