The Sandman Signature Toronto Airport Hotel consistently receives positive feedback, particularly highlighting its friendly and accommodating staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and convenient location near the airport. Recent reviews emphasize the hotel’s responsiveness to guest needs, including assisting with travel delays and offering helpful amenities like kitchenettes and shuttle service. While some concerns regarding cleanliness and front desk interactions were raised, the overall experience appears to be positive, especially for travelers seeking a practical and comfortable stay near the airport.
Loved our stay!!! From the pick up at the airport, to the warm welcome of Patricia at the front desk. Patricia went above and beyond in helping us with our smooth check in to giving us information that she knew we would need as first timers in Toronto. We look forward to our next travel to this city.
I had a long month + stay there, the front desk crew and manager were awesome and attended to my needs as much as they could. Thank you Laurie’s and gentleman for your patience and understanding!! For me the location was perfect, close to work and restaurants. I would go back there for long stay at the airport, very practical room with kitchen and laundry machines.
We recently stayed here the night before we flew out of the Toronto Airport. This was booked by our travel agent. Front desk staff were friendly and very accommodating. It was wonderful to be able to leave our car for 8 days and no extra charge when our flight was delayed because of the snow storm. Transport to the airport was via shuttle and since we left there at 4am we didn't get breakfast. On return, we called for a pick up. Since the driver was busy they told us to take a taxi and they reimbursed me upon arrival at the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.
I really like this hotel. It’s not fancy and new but the suite was spacious, well equipped (washer and dryer and a well stocked kitchen). The staff were wonderful and accommodating, with a special shout-out to Katherine for her help and kindness on a cancelled flight day. Moxies being attached to the hotel is a great addition to the experience. I will definitely be back!
My partner and I stayed here and I cannot say enough good things about the staff. We arrived on December 25th late and the front desk staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. They truly made our holiday! The next day in a literal blizzard they got us a cab when the shuttle wasn’t able to run on time due to the weather and a delay - and they covered the cost of the cab because of it. Everyone was extremely friendly and kind and the room was clean and quiet. What an amazing Christmas experience.
I was really impressed with this hotel! Close to the airport, comfortable, clean rooms and the most wonderful staff. Special mentions to both Noah and Waqas at the front desk. Amazing customer service!! From the initial check in to having to extend due to a cancelled flight, they both made this experience effortless.
I had the chance to stay at the Sandman Signature Toronto Airport Hotel after my flight was unexpectedly cancelled, and I must admit, I was initially skeptical when I was told the hotel would be Sandman Signature. As someone accustomed to high-end hotels, I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, I was genuinely surprised by how fantastic my stay turned out to be. From the moment I was picked up by the shuttle, I could tell the staff were incredibly professional. The service was top-notch throughout my stay. The rooms were immaculate, offering a comfortable and relaxing environment. The Restaurant food at both dinner and breakfast was delicious, and the service from the waitress and coffee lady was outstanding, attentive and friendly. I can confidently say I would rate everything a perfect 10 out of 10. I hope to visit the Sandman Signature again whenever I find myself back in Canada.
I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Unfortunately, my first impression was disappointing: the initial room I was given was not properly cleaned. The bed sheets were clearly not changed after the previous guest, the bathroom was dirty with hair on the floor, toothpaste in the sink, and even the toilet was left unflushed with the lid open. After calling the front desk, I was moved to another room, which was clean and comfortable. The renovated room itself was cozy, well-equipped, and the mattress was incredibly comfortable — I slept perfectly every night. However, the front desk staff were unfriendly and made me feel as if I was asking for a favor rather than being a valued guest. This is disappointing, as they represent the face of the hotel. On a positive note, the housekeeping staff made a much better impression. One housekeeper on the 7th floor kindly provided me with fresh towels and toiletries with a smile. I would have loved to mention her name and recognize her professionalism, but unfortunately, I didn’t catch it. Another housekeeper, Luda, was especially helpful — she explained where the pool was and brought me an extra bathrobe. Their professionalism and friendliness really improved my overall stay. I would suggest management pay closer attention to how rooms are cleaned before guests check in, and also train front desk staff to be more welcoming. Overall, my stay was a mix of positives and negatives — with better consistency in service and cleanliness, this hotel has the potential to offer a truly great guest experience.
We booked a room with queen bed and a queen couch pullout. I indicated three occupants on the booking. The hotel neglected to makeup the pullout - I had to ask for it. A couple days in, we did not get a replacement dishtowel in the room refresh and when we asked for that and some extra bath towels as well as some extra toilet paper, they only provided one of the three items... we had to ask again. The room and bathroom was dusty on most ledges. The windows had hand and forehead prints which I cleaned myself as I like to enjoy the view. I think they need a bit more attention to detail with the cleaning. We stayed 9 nights and the first 3 of those, the police were out front dealing with disturbances - one of those nights also required paramedics. This was disturbing and especially that the hotel did not clean the bloodstain right outside the main entrance. The front desk staff were very accommodating when in "reactive" mode, but I think there is some communication breakdown between the desk and house keeping. I normally stay at a hotel closer to the airport but this trip I decided to book us here to try it out. I am debating if I should return. I expressed my concerns about housekeeping. I received an apology and a reaction limited to fixing the issue. When I mentioned I did not feel good about the police presence for 3 straight nights, I was simply told "there is nothing wrong with the hotel and the police are there to protect you"... and no compensation was offered. I see that when reviewers have negative comments or experiences, managers at the hotel respond with "canned" responses of promises to review internally and improve. I do not see any offers to contact directly and/or compensate for the service not provided. I suggest if you wish I return, or anyone else, provide some compensation... not words. Words do not offset the hard earned dollars that paid for an experience/product that fell short.
This was my first time staying at a Sandman Hotel, and I booked last minute. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room I booked with a kitchenette was fantastic — very clean, well-stocked, and relaxing. Most importantly, it felt safe for me, my husband, and especially our baby. I’m always cautious about dangerous items in hotel rooms, but everything here was perfectly set up. The front desk staff were super friendly and personable. They answered all my questions, explained how room cleaning works, and even helped me book an airport transfer. The transfer itself was smooth, the driver drove carefully (which I really appreciated with a baby), and he helped with loading and unloading our bags. Overall, this was such a relaxing, clean, and professional experience. I would definitely stay here again!
