The Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown receives mixed reviews, highlighting both outstanding staff and significant cleanliness concerns. While praised for its location, convenient parking, and comfortable beds, frequent issues with bathroom cleanliness, neglected room maintenance, and broken amenities detract from the overall experience. Guests consistently mention the friendliness of staff, particularly at breakfast, alongside a desire for better overall upkeep.
Got it — back to the first version with every correction you asked for: --- “Royally Overpriced” – A Masterclass in How NOT to Run an ‘Expensive’ Hotel ????? Checked into this place expecting luxury. Got a comedy of errors instead. The Room: Walked into a bathroom with a grimy sink. Went down and talked to reception about it. They promised to send someone. Nobody came. Ever. Still had to look at that sink all stay. Charming. Maid service? They made the beds and vanished. No coffee, no creamer, dirty glasses untouched, and wet used towels still hanging like modern art. Thanks for the half effort. One bathrobe for a room with two queen beds. Who’s supposed to wear it, winner of rock-paper-scissors? Curtains wouldn’t close tight, so enjoy your sunrise at 5am. TV remote didn’t work properly. Choices limited, not enough Canadian channels. In Canada. The Property: Elevator carpet looks like it hosted a mud wrestling match. No lobby washrooms, even though you’ve got a cafe serving lattes. So plan your bathroom breaks accordingly. Booked partly for the “outdoor space” shown online. Surprise: it doesn’t exist/closed. Zero mention during booking, zero explanation at check-in. No info packet, no rundown of services. Because apparently there ARE no services. Checkout: 12pm sharp your keycard dies. Fair. But there’s no phone on my floor to call reception, and I couldn’t get my luggage sorted. The whole process was a mess. The “Pros” so I don’t get sued: Reception staff were actually friendly + efficient when I could reach them. They stored luggage well for a few hours. City view was nice. Location is convenient. Dove toiletries are fine. Beds are comfortable — needed them after the stress. Verdict: For what they charge, this is robbery without a gun. Filthy bathroom, broken promises, phantom amenities, and basic housekeeping fails. You’re paying 5-star prices for 2-star execution. Save your money and your sanity. Hard pass.
I don't write reviews often, but I just need to say that when I checked - I was a little tired, it had already been a long and stressful day, but - I was greeted by an incredibly helpful check in counter desk employee, his name was Andrew, and he was awesome. He was so pleasant and professional and completly knew what he was doing. The hotel is also great, but to me, people make all the difference and today that was Andrew - Thanks Radisson Blue - having staff like that is awesome!
We just checked in at the Radisson Toronto and already had such a great experience thanks to Andrew at the front desk. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and made the check-in process so smooth and easy. The room he gave us is honestly amazing and exceeded our expectations. You can really tell he cares about guests and wants them to have the best experience possible. Thank you, Andrew, for such outstanding customer service and for making us feel so welcomed right away! With love from Calgary ??
Room has good. Had a great view of the CN tower. Rooms were clean and house keeping was polite. The winner though was Harry at The View breakfast restaurant. He was attentive and polite and went above and beyond. Made our 4 night stay memorable.
We thoroughly enjoyed a much needed long weekend getaway and stay at the Radisson Blu! Wife wanted to host a girls' dinner at the nearby Queens Harbour so the proximity made sense but the hotel also appealed to us based on reviews and how nice it looked. We sincerely appreciated the kind staff for upgrading our room to a higher floor with a lake view - waking up to that was gorgeous. Our stay took a slight hit when the bathroom developed a bit of a stench our last night there, but maintenance was great with fixing the issue in the morning. We also wish the bathroom fan would turn on but had no luck and were surprised it didn't come with a microwave. Back to the positives, the bed was really comfy - gave us that deep hotel sleep that you strive for - and the room was quite spacious. And the parking through spothero was inexpensive for a 2 night stay, not to mention we lucked out by getting a spot right in front of the elevators. Ubers were always quick to pick us up, which meant a lot considering we were trying to maximize our nights downtown. If we ever desire a downtown getaway again, we know where we'll be staying!
Visited here for our anniversary holiday in February. Got a free upgrade to lakeside view. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was large and spacious, no defects found in the room. Bathroom was a good size too and each floor had a water bottle filling station. We would 100% come back again for sure.
Smooth check in, room was clean - love that the rooms are carpet free. The room was a bit chilly so we turned up the heat but nothing happened. We waited to see if it warmed up, it didn't so we alerted the front desk. Within 30 minutes maintenance had the problem solved, very impressed! We had breakfast in the restaurant, food and service were top notch. Kudos to Paul and Harry. Paul is a gem- don't lose him! My husband and I enjoyed his energy, and I loved proving I exist ( inside joke).
We stayed at this hotel for 3 days during the last week of November 2025, and our experience was truly excellent. The hotel has an excellent location, making it very convenient for getting around and accessing nearby attractions. Everything about our stay was great. A special mention goes to Arshiya at the reception counter she was extremely helpful, professional, and friendly. Her warm hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. The service, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere were all top-notch. We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again.
Had a quick visit and the room was great. Cute little fireplace light gave it a more homey feel than standard room. Management quickly addressed concerns over party in the room below us. If you park do not pay the person in the garage, instead pay at check in. I didn’t know this so we had paid the garage attendant, at check in I was informed the cost would be due again at 5am when using this method. She was kind enough to credit what we had paid in parking to the lot towards our parking charge for the hotel. Was a nice walk to everything we wanted to see, even in the cold.
Large spacious rooms very comfortable bed. Fairly clean. Could use some cleaning under bed etc. but on par with most hotels. Beautiful view. Good price and easy self parking. Staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful. Great checkout times (Noon) and can stay parked until 6pm on day of checkout.
