We experienced a number of unusual things: no hot water (boiler issue 2 of the 3 nights), flickering lamp (they brought a bulb, but it was the lamp), TV controller issues (they brought a new remote, but the issues persisted), and a malfunctioning elevator. We have stayed at the Pantages previously and had a good experience without any of these issues. Overall, the staff were friendly and helpful (told us that St. Mike's parking lot had space as long as the entrance door was open - good tip, $23 parking per day rather than 30 plus). We were there for a meeting that required catering and the food was good, the catering staff was friendly and efficient.

Nice hotel and good location; Our initial room was nice and we dropped off our bags for the evening, but upon returning there was a noticeable smell that had built up in the room. When we informed the front desk they were kind enough to move us to another room, which was also well appointed. Thanks to Pantages for addressing our issue to keep our travels pleasant

From the moment we arrived, the reception was extremely disappointing. The man at the front desk was unpleasant and condescending, even though we were simply asking basic questions in a polite manner. His responses were dry, sometimes almost dismissive, which immediately made us feel uncomfortable. What is even more concerning is that this behavior was not only directed at us. The person right before us was also spoken to in the same way, despite being calm and respectful. This clearly shows that it was not an isolated incident, but rather a consistent attitude. Following this incident, we took the time to read other reviews of the hotel, and it became clear that this is not a new issue. Similar experiences have already been reported by other guests. At that point, it raises serious questions that should not be ignored. This is very disappointing for a hotel of this standard, where a certain level of professionalism and quality of service is expected. The guest experience starts at reception, and in this case, it was clearly lacking. A review of staff training and front desk attitude is more than necessary.

Absolutely amazing stay — 5 stars without a doubt. We stayed at Pantages Hotel for 9 nights (out of our 14-night trip, as it was otherwise fully booked), and every moment here was fantastic. The hotel is stylish, comfortable, and in a great location — but what truly sets it apart is the service. James at reception was especially lovely — always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. And then there is Paul, the manager — simply exceptional. We have never experienced service quite like this before. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. He even managed to arrange a room for us for our final night when the hotel was otherwise full, which meant so much to us. On top of that, his recommendations were spot-on, and he was just an all-around wonderful person — easily one of the best we have ever met. This hotel didn’t just meet expectations — it exceeded them in every way. We will definitely be back.

Anyone who doesn't rate this place as 5 Star's simply has an axe to grind. Stayed here for a show across the street at Massey Hall. You can not get any closer to the venue than this hotel. It's less than a block to Yonge and Dundas Square. Ton's of excellent food options near by. Stone's throw from the mall. The room is an amazing value! It's basically a small apartment. Full bedroom, living room, and kitchen. The kitchen has a full size fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. There's even a washer and dryer in the unit. Very spacious, great view, and everything was new a nicely decorated. Check in service was very good. This is my new home in Toronto.

Recently stayed at Pantages Hotel during a trip to Toronto. The men at the front desk were welcoming and kind. The check in and check out process was easy and my room was ready early. The room was really spacious, bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was new and clean. I had a great stay and given the location, the price was very good. The only negative was the tv was outdated and didn't work very well, but other than that small detail, I had a great stay and would recommend this hotel!

Had the most lovely weekend experience at this hotel. The staff went above and beyond at every request I had in such a kind manner. The rooms were extremely clean and practical while being aesthetically pleasing. Cleaning staff was precise and ensured the bedding was made every day. Only inconvenient part was not having parking for the hotel itself, have to just part across the street or nearby so it was still very manageable. If you’re debating this hotel, I would say book it. I’m an extremely picky person and this place checked off everything I needed for the trip. Looking forward to staying here again.

The BEST customer service we have ever had at a hotel. Pella at the front desk was amazing and she made our stay so easy and was super helpful. She is a gem!!! The location was perfect to get around downtown with the Eaton Center being a 2min walk away. We will never stay anywhere else when we visit Toronto but here.

Booked this hotel on the recommendation of my local colleagues. The price was extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality/size of the room and its superb location. Service was prompt and friendly at the front desk. My room was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and nicely appointed. I would definitely stay here again. I also felt very safe here as a solo female traveler.

Nice hotel and a great location. It’s close to everything and very walkable. There’s a parking lot by the church nearby where you can reserve parking for cheap, which was super convenient. The room was good, clean, and comfortable, and overall the stay was smooth and pleasant. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it if you want something central and easy to get around from.
