The Pan Pacific Toronto offers a convenient location in Midtown Toronto, frequently praised for its cleanliness and comfortable rooms, including many with balconies. However, recent reviews highlight recurring operational issues such as elevator problems, inconsistent hot water, and staffing challenges affecting overall guest satisfaction. While the staff is generally considered friendly, reliability and responsiveness regarding maintenance and guest requests remain concerns.
I’ve stayed here several times, and the rebrand from Pan Pacific to IHG in January 2026 has been a game-changer. The elevator issues are finally solved, and the gym renovation looks amazing! Rooms are clean, and I love that almost every room has a balcony. The staff is very kind, though the front desk team seems to change frequently. They have a bar and breakfast on-site, but if you want to explore, there are great breakfast and dinner spots within walking distance. Just a heads-up: it’s a popular spot for summer weddings and winter hockey teams. Rates are reasonable but do go up in the summer!
We had a very pleasant stay at this 4-star hotel. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout our visit. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The beds were good, and the space felt practical and nicely arranged. The amenities met expectations for a 4-star property. Overall, it was a solid experience and good value for the quality provided. I would consider staying here again.
Good location it is located in Midtown Toronto which is good because it is not far away from downtown Toronto, and surprisingly our room is facing the downtown Toronto which you can see the CN Tower on clear skies. The front desk and the housekeeper is polite and friendly. The lobby is chill and cozy. The room is always neat, it has everyday refreshments and cleaning. The hotel employees are also polite and friendly. Overall, the room is comfortable, cozy and relaxing. We stayed here during the snowy season of Toronto, so we really enjoyed watching the snowfall every single time, it feels like a wallpaper video on Youtube. (15 Days | Dec 22, 2025 to Jan 5, 2026)
Service was okay and the rooms were clean and comfortable. However, the lack of in-room dining options was disappointing and reduced overall convenience. The gym is available but not well equipped, which may be a downside for guests who prioritize fitness. The restaurant is ok with good food and beverages.Overall, an average stay with room for improvement.
Honestly stayed at 2.5 or 3 star hotels that have better service than this place. The hotel is clearly aware of the thermostat issue in the rooms upon reading previous reviews, however they don't seem to care about their paying customers experiences and provide no true resolutions to the MULTIPLE issues in the rooms, even after they changed us to a new room THE MORNING of check out - as if that was going to help the night of sleep we lost & the losses incurred as a result. The new room they changed us to after finding hair on the bed in the first room, had a bunch of mould in the shower stall. Absolutely shocking as some 3 star hotels are more maintained and have better customer care and compassion as this "4 star" hotel.
The Pacific was always a great option for staying in Toronto but it has sharply declined in quality. 4 big problems arose this trip. 1. The water in the bathroom only arrived at 1 temperature, boiling hot. Making showers and getting ready difficult and impossible to drink water. A ticket was issued after the first night of have it fixed and nothing changed. 2. The rooms AC doesn’t work. The loud fan would run constantly but never cool the room down. It was too hot to sleep. 3. Finally there was blood on the shower curtain and the pillows bunched into balls of filling. 4. The fridge quit after during the stay ruining about $100 worth of food brought for the trip. Over all this was a terrible experience followed up but a lacklustre response by the duty manger. It’s too bad this used to be such a good hotel option.
I spent a week at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Toronto for my birthday, and it truly made my first visit to the city unforgettable. My best friend and I stayed in a queen room with a lovely view, and on the day we arrived, it happened to be the first snowfall of the season. Watching the snow fall from our window felt absolutely magical. What made the stay exceptional was the customer service. From Sunday to Sunday, every staff member we interacted with was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The ladies in the restaurant and bar area greeted us every morning with such kindness. The gentleman at the main doors always checked if we needed anything whether it was help with transportation or just general assistance. Even the housekeeping staff were consistently friendly and willing to help with any questions or concerns. I also loved that the hotel had a small gift shop downstairs I was able to pick up a little Canada moose teddy bear before heading home. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming place to stay in Toronto. It’s also conveniently located, making it easy to get downtown, visit attractions like the CN Tower and the Royal Ontario Museum, and even head out to events like the tree lighting at the Distillery District without any trouble.
A little expensive for what you get. The room is quite clean and the bathroom is immaculate. Unfortunately the beds were a little too soft for our liking and we could hear quite a lot of noise from outside and in the hall so we slept poorly. Customer service was very good, and the place has a convenient little shop and two restaurants on site. Overall it was a good experience, but a as mentioned a little pricy.
The price is bit higher for the facilities it offers. Rooms are nice and with great views. Linens are clean. Bathroom is sparkling clean. They give free toiletries and give dental kit, shaving kit and slippers on demand and of course complimentary. A safety locker is there in the reom along with a coffee maker and iron table + iron. Lighting is bit poor , probably it's an effort to become an energy efficient and sustainability caring hotel . The complimentary breakfast is with limited options yet good . The reception staffs are friendly, however I was denied a check in because I didn't have canadian currency or card to pay when I arrived here. I had to go to a currency exchange , get the exchange and had to come back to get a check in and to be allowed in a room. This I thought could be managed by keeping my payment on hold for an hour or two. Hotel is at a nice and quiet location .
We spent 4 nights at this hotel, booking two rooms, one for us and one for my parents. The rooms were spacious and fairly clean. The real highlight, though, was the bed, it was so comfy, you really didn’t want to get up! The only downside was the door between our room and the next one (it was sealed, but you could still hear everything from the other side). Breakfast was continental, with a good variety of options, so it did the job. The elevator, however, was a bit of a joke lol it took forever to show up. But overall, we had a good stay, and the location is not far from Toronto. I’d definitely recommend it!
