Beautiful hotel! Everything from lobby to restaurant was spectacular. The front desk agent who checked us in was friendly and professional. Special mention to Bhavesh who arranged our room change so promptly. Bell agent was also very courteous. Restaurant staff is amazing in doing their job and taking care of each guest. Food quality and quantity was great. Freshly prepared meals. Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety. Filling and pleasant. Location is great, room sizes are perfect. Just in room coffee quality could be better. Rest everything was perfect.

Hotel is well-placed outside of downtown and has plenty of restaurants around within walking distance. The location is also near access to public transit to easily make it downtown. Parking is available on site. Rooms were spacious and well-maintained. Facilities are well-kept overall, including the pool, though the gym is a bit lacking vice other hotels of this size. Only real issue experienced during my two week stay was elevators were constantly in disrepair. Only two elevators worked most of the time, and this dropped down to a single elevator on one afternoon. There was a handful of times where staff directed us to the service elevator in fact. Although this seems to have been rectified now, it is still noteworthy for this review. Overall, a comfortable stay for the time period I was there. I will likely stay here again on future business trips.

It was wonderful and magical.. i stayed sunday night and monday night coming home tuesday morning... The service was beyond excellent. As I was waiting to check in A gentleman by the name of Ryan told me about the garden terrace because he saw I had a little Yorkie with me.. And it just kept getting even more excellent from there.. And it ended this morning with me having my morning coffee before I checked out , sitting in the restaurant by the windows and I saw a gorgeous deer.. it felt like you had ordered it as a goodbye present for me... I absolutely loved my king sized bed that Hennessy, my Yorkie and I shared. Hennessy loved your stairs that we went up-and-down.What seemed like five hundred times over the course of my stay l o l...... both Llly and Lsa at the restaurant were wonderful.. and I joked with Dwight this morning , about how he had ordered the deer for me to see... my stay at Cown Plaza Hotel, Noth York , even though it was only two days, what's one of the best vacations i've ever had.. .. and as an added note , if I could have put that king size bed in my jeans pocket , I probably would've tried. ?? I'm Hoping.to look into my budget , to be able to come back before 2026 ends Sharon & Hennessy ..

This was honestly one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had. The room was not clean when we arrived. For the price they charge, cleanliness should be the bare minimum, and they didn’t even meet that standard. To make things worse, despite the hotel clearly having many other rooms available, they put us right next to the elevator. All night long we heard people talking, doors opening and closing, and guests coming and going. Getting a good night’s sleep was impossible. The breakfast was shockingly bad. At around $30 per person, I expected a quality meal. Instead, it was full of processed food that tasted cheap. I couldn’t even finish my plate because it was so unappetizing. It honestly felt like they put in the minimum effort while charging premium prices. When we raised our concerns, the staff weren’t accommodating at all. Their “solution” was to offer us 1,000 membership points, which are worth next to nothing. It felt more insulting than helpful. Overall, this hotel was incredibly overpriced and nowhere near the standard it claims to offer. What was supposed to be a relaxing getaway turned into a frustrating experience. I would never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone, especially considering how much they charge.

This was, without question, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. From the moment I arrived, everything seemed to go wrong. The front desk consistently had extremely long wait times, and the staff were unhelpful, dismissive, and showed very little concern for guests. Customer service was virtually nonexistent. To make matters worse, multiple elevators were out of service, resulting in incredibly long waits just to get to and from the higher floors. What should have taken a minute routinely took 15 to 20 minutes, creating unnecessary frustration throughout the stay. The lack of responsiveness was unbelievable. I called housekeeping several times and also attempted to contact the restaurant multiple times. No one ever answered. I left multiple voicemails and never received a single callback or any follow-up. For a hotel that markets itself as a full-service property, the level of service was unacceptable. Between the poor communication, unresponsive staff, long delays, and overall lack of hospitality, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. There are numerous hotels in the Toronto area that would almost certainly provide a significantly better guest experience. I would strongly encourage anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere.

The lovely hard working young woman who works at the pool is amazing. Kind, thoughtful and always doing something to make the pool better. A joy and a huge resource for the hotel. Promote this woman. As well, the men and women who clean the rooms were so helpful and accommodating. I am traveling with my daughter and granddaughter. I am watching granddaughter and the 4 th floor cleaning staff are amazingly kind and helpful. Thank you good people.

This place tries really hard to be a fancy hotel but has a multiplicity of shortcomings. Let's start with the fact that they charge $20 per night for parking. This is totally bogus and unnecessary. They also didn't disclose this to me when I made my reservation. Another issue, there is no stairwell! Not literally, but it is only for use if there is a fire. It leads outside and is not allowed to be used if there is not an emergency. You literally cannot even access the stairwell from the lobby. You're FORCED to take the elevator, which is very slow about half the time. So, if you don't want to wait, or if you want to get a little exercise using the stairs, or if you don't enjoy being in a confined space with strangers, too bad for you. The elevator is your only option. A third ridiculous thing is this. Upon checkin, they take a deposit. I was told that if I wanted to pay my deposit in cash it would be FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. This is an absurd amount of money. I provided it to them but it left me with almost no cash left over for my trip to Toronto (I visited from the United States). Lastly, there is no guest laundry. For such a big place with all sorts of amenities, there are no washers and dryers for guests to do laundry. I have stayed at Motel 6's with guest laundry. There are other things but I'll end my review here. I spent about $200 a night, yet I was continually left shaking my head at the way the Crowne Plaza chose to go about doing business.

I had a fantastic stay at Crowne Plaza North York. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome. Their professionalism and warmth really stood out and made a big difference. The hotel has a relaxing, resort-like atmosphere, which made it easy to unwind after a long day. Everything was very clean, from the rooms to the common areas, and it’s clear they take pride in maintaining the property. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to get around and access nearby places. What impressed me most was how focused the team is on customer service. They really go above and beyond to make sure guests have a great experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We recently stayed for one night at the Crowne Plaza and while I would stay there again, there were two things that were not ideal: Our room was at the rear side and we were awakened at about 3:15 am by extremely loud metal banging noises and we realized that it had to have been from some truck picking up one or more dumpster containers. Do youself a favour and book a room at the front of the hotel! Also, the sliding doors to our room were not sealing well and since it was a very windy night there was a constant whistling of air passing through and it also made the room quite chilly. FYI: Our room was #715 As far as checking in and out everything was perfect and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I also found the room key system worked very well--much better than the old cards that often failed and required multiple attempts to unlock the door. The room was clean and well appointed although the matresses were a bit soft for our liking, but that's a personal thing, and thus it's difficult to please everyone. We ate dinner at their restaurant and the service was excellent and the food was fine--simple fare, like a burger, fries, salad, Poke Bowl, steak, Club Sandwich, etc.--in other words, something to satisfy most tastes. Having had to leave early the next morning before they opened for breakfast we can't comment on that service; except to say that we understood that it is buffet style. So as noted, we'd consider staying there again, and we had a decent rate using Expedia to book. But we'd request a room at the front of the hotel.

I’ve stayed here several times, and the rebrand from Pan Pacific to IHG in January 2026 has been a game-changer. The elevator issues are finally solved, and the gym renovation looks amazing! Rooms are clean, and I love that almost every room has a balcony. The staff is very kind, though the front desk team seems to change frequently. They have a bar and breakfast on-site, but if you want to explore, there are great breakfast and dinner spots within walking distance. Just a heads-up: it’s a popular spot for summer weddings and winter hockey teams. Rates are reasonable but do go up in the summer!
