The Hyatt Regency Toronto offers a centrally located stay in downtown Toronto, known for its convenient access to attractions and dining. While many guests praise the friendly service and comfortable rooms, recurring concerns involve dated decor and potential inconsistencies in service levels. Recent reviews highlight both strong staff members and instances of logistical issues like reservation discrepancies and transportation problems.

I am deeply disappointed by the treatment my husband received while dropping off a guest at this property. After completing a long ride, he politely asked to use the restroom. The employee at the entrance, identified as Katrji, refused the request and treated him in a manner that appeared disrespectful and unwelcoming. As a transportation worker who was actively serving a guest of the hotel, my husband expected to be treated with basic courtesy and professionalism. Instead, he was made to feel unwelcome and singled out. The interaction left him with the impression that he was being treated differently because of his ethnic background, which was both upsetting and concerning. When my husband stated that he intended to file a complaint regarding the incident, Katrji responded, “Make a good complaint of it.” Such a dismissive response is highly unprofessional and reflects poorly on the standards of customer service and hospitality that guests and service providers should expect. Hotels rely on drivers, taxi operators, and rideshare workers to bring guests to their properties. These workers deserve to be treated with the same respect and dignity afforded to everyone else. I hope management investigates this incident seriously and takes appropriate steps to ensure that all individuals, regardless of their background, are treated fairly and respectfully.

Excellent location. Stayed in a renovated Deluxe City View Suite, very roomy. Quiet room, didn't get too much street noise up on 15th floor. Bathroom was a little small but very bright and clean. Hotel obviously needs some more renovations, but perfect for my stay. The winning thing here is staff. Zain was an absolute pleasure to deal with.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Regency Toronto. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. A special shout-out goes to Jahnvi at the front desk, who made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. As the first point of contact for guests, the front desk sets the tone for the entire hotel experience, and Jahnvi exemplified hospitality at its finest. Her warm demeanor, professionalism, and willingness to assist created a fantastic first impression—not only of the hotel but also of its management and service culture. The rest of our stay lived up to that excellent welcome. We truly appreciated the friendly atmosphere and attentive service throughout the property. We would happily stay here again and recommend the Hyatt Regency Toronto to anyone visiting the city.

Good location, room was decent. Was told the room was recently renovated but based on the sliding door to the bathroom, and the bathroom itself I'm not so sure. I also would have stayed longer in this location but I tried calling a week before my arrival for a couple days and was always put through to the manager's office. I left messages and my calls were never returned.

Last Spring, I explored booking a sizable corporate group through their sales office. As someone who works in Toronto's hotel industry and understands exactly how hotel sales operations function the red flags were immediate. My interactions with Mr. Benn and his assistant Rose made it clear this was not a team operating with structure, accountability, or strategic foresight. The approach felt reactive, loosely organized, and overly reliant on pressure tactics instead of value-driven selling. That’s not how sustainable corporate relationships are built. For a property flying the Hyatt flag, I expected adherence to brand standards and a baseline level of professionalism. Instead, the sales culture came across as fragmented and dated, a reflection of the property itself. Corporate event planning is a small, interconnected industry. Experienced planners can quickly assess whether a sales office is capable of executing at scale. Based on what I observed, I chose to take my business elsewhere and I would strongly advise others who understand how this side of the industry works to think carefully before engaging.

Hospitality personnel were phenomenal. Rooms were a little dated but still awesome, clean and comfortable. Convenient location. Shoppers 24/7 and Dollarama near by for any travel needs. Do not skip out on ordering thier room service pizza, seriously. There are many parking garages steps away from the hotel $20/24h, $5/30min. Parking at the hotel garage is $40 but they offer a $20 parking coupon upon check-in. Just call ahead to be certain. Just pointing that out for anyone with a physical impairment. I was expecting it to be really upscale, but it was more casual. I was not disappointed and I have no complaints. I felt that the price was very reasonable I paid $250/night (2 queen beds, room 1523) and I would probably visit again in the future.

This hotel is in a great location, within easy walking distance to restaurants and entertainment. We used the underground parking, which was $40 with in-and-out privileges. While convenient, I definitely miss the days when parking was included in the stay! The staff were very pleasant. Akshat checked us in and was especially helpful, letting us know to reach out if we needed anything. The front desk mentioned that our room was in one of the newly renovated sections, and it was indeed very clean and modern. That said, the room was smaller than an average hotel room. We booked a corner room expecting a bit more space, but it was actually quite small, so I wouldn’t recommend paying extra for that upgrade. The bathroom was also very compact. We were surprised to find a bathtub instead of a stand-up shower in a newly renovated room. The sink was tiny with very limited counter space for toiletries. Overall, the price was reasonable, and the lobby and common areas were clean and welcoming. A good place to stay for the location and value.

Nice comfortable hotel in a great location. Clean and tidy adequate room. Coffee machine and fridge in the room. Everything we needed for our stay. We only stayed one night but I will definitely be coming back. Thank you to Alan at the front desk for a warm and friendly welcome

Centered downtown, this hotel is a great find. While it’s not connected to “the path”, there is a close connect point within about a block. The rooms are clean, reception is extremely friendly and helpful, and service both at the bar and breakfast are great. Chef Ilancheri checked on me during each meal to ensure things were prepared well. His attention to detail with allergies created trust and kept me coming back. The bar space is great. Inviting and calm. Breakfast did not offer buffet during my stay but the staff was attentive, polite, and quick. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city for work or leisure.

The Hyatt Regency Toronto is well located, clean, and many staff members were professional and courteous. Unfortunately, several preventable issues significantly impacted our stay and did not meet expectations for a Hyatt property. Transportation arranged through the concierge did not match what was booked. We paid for a 14-passenger Sprinter, yet a smaller, unclean vehicle arrived both ways, creating unsafe and uncomfortable seating conditions. We were advised at booking that the hotel had a pool, which influenced our decision to stay here, but upon arrival learned it was closed for the season. This was very disappointing for our children and could have been avoided with clearer disclosure. Our room also experienced plumbing issues that were reported but not addressed promptly, leading to an overflow. There were additional concerns with room door functionality and extremely tight underground parking with no warning for larger vehicles.(Causing damage) Overall, while the hotel has many positives, better communication, maintenance response, and guest guidance are needed to meet Hyatt standards. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves the guest experience.
