Values its location in downtown Toronto and boasts exceptionally professional, personalized service; however, recent guests have voiced disappointment regarding the limited city views, which do not always match online descriptions, and the cost of dining options within the property.

First time in Toronto for a birthday trip, excellent choice choosing Intercontinental. Staff were VERY professional, kind and friendly which made us as tourists, have a very smooth trip. They recommended some amazing food options nearby (as the restaurant attached service was no where near our expectations). We were out exploring the city and came back to our room surprised with some amazing birthday desserts which made our night!! Hotel room even included some beauty supplies which was extremely useful. Definitely recommend this place and will be returning!

A huge shout out to Ayo and Manager David, came here for a birthday celebration and they made the experience fantastic. They upgraded us to the top floor with a great view of the city and even sent up a little happy birthday desert to the room. Had such great service and the breakfast buffet is a 10/10. Will definitely be staying here again!

My family and I stayed here back in September. Great location! The room was clean and the bathroom was well-stocked. Intercontinental Toronto is using one of my favourite scents and it was a pleasant surprise. Also, the bathroom has an actual door. None of that glass sliding door business many hotels are doing nowadays. The staff are super friendly and professional. Kudos to Ardiz for making our stay extra special. Will definitely be staying here again!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting InterContinental Toronto Centre, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of downtown, with easy access to major attractions, dining, and entertainment. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance felt elegant yet welcoming, and the staff greeted me with genuine warmth and professionalism. The rooms are beautifully designed, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable, with plush bedding and thoughtful amenities that make you feel truly cared for. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere despite being in such a vibrant area—it allowed for restful sleep and relaxation. The facilities, including the fitness center and pool, were well-maintained and added to the overall sense of luxury. What really stood out was the level of service. Every team member I interacted with was attentive, courteous, and eager to help, creating a personalized and memorable stay. Whether you’re visiting Toronto for business or leisure, this hotel delivers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and sophistication. I would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium stay in the city.

My husband and I booked in for a luxurious staycation for my birthday. Everything was very beautiful and the experience was very smooth. Ardiz at reception was lovely and went the extra mile for my birthday, including a room upgrade with a stunning view of the CN Tower and the lake! Also loved the pool. Would absolutely recommend for a peaceful stay!

This is a really good Intercontinental Hotel! While its rooms are due for a hard renovation (they’re not bad, just a little worn and not the most comfortable mattresses), they really shine with great service. Fernando in the Club Lounge was especially great, making sure that every desire and question I had was fully satisfied. He went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable at every chance he could. When I asked for anything, he took diligent notes and then would have me go relax in the lounge or my room while him and other staff attended to my needs and brought things directly to me. He is the kind of service employee that should be training others as his service was nothing short of impeccable. I genuinely look forward to returning to this property because of him and the other staff.

The Club lounge was very convenient with very good meal options. Breakfast and snacks (more like a full meal) were both excellent and exceeded expectations. Health club facilities were good although we didn't use. The location was excellent being very close to Union Station (we came in by train) and the fact that you could walk everywhere (including Scotia Bank Place as we came in for a Raptors game) without going outside in the wind and the cold. Ardiz at the front desk was very accommodating at check in and we sure appreciated it. She even arranged a bottle of champagne and a late check out for our anniversary. The wording on the different room options was very misleading (I thought) when it came to the Club Lounge benefits and led to the bill being quite a bit higher than originally anticipated. There was pricing for a regular room and then further down on the Booking.com website there was a price for being on the "Executive Level". They did not clearly state what that entailed so I Googled it (in some detail to make sure I understood correctly) and the benefits were the same as those offered with the Club Lounge. The upgrade was priced accordingly and in line with how much the added benefits would have cost. However, upon arriving at the hotel we came to find out that even though the Executive Level cost considerably more, it did not include the benefits of the Club Lounge, it only allowed us a higher floor. Had I known that, I would have not paid for the higher floor and invested the money only into the Club Lounge benefits. We wound up adding the Club Lounge (and as mentioned in an earlier comment, worth the upgrade) in the end but the stay wound up costing us much more than if we had stayed on a lower floor and then upgraded to the Club Lounge. The bottom line, and the point I am trying to make is that they should specify on the website that the Executive Floor does not include Club Lounge benefits (as it leads one to believe) and in order to get the Club Lounge you must go to a room option that mentions it specifically.

I booked two rooms at the InterContinental Toronto from January 1–2 for a quick city staycation, and it was the perfect way to start the year. From the moment we walked in, the lobby felt beautiful and warm—a welcome escape from the January chill. The check-in process was a breeze, which we really appreciated with the kids in tow. Speaking of the kids, they absolutely loved the pool! The entire hotel was notably clean, and the service was exceptional. Even on our checkout day, the housekeeping staff was incredibly polite, proactively asking if we needed fresh towels or anything else before we headed out. It’s those small touches that make a stay memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

Family Stay with a Toddler During New Year’s Eve 2026 We chose Inter Continental Toronto for New Year’s Eve because we have been IHG loyalty members for over 10 years, and the brand is usually a safe and reliable choice when travelling with a toddler. As a newcomer to Toronto, this was our first time experiencing downtown New Year’s Eve fireworks. We planned this stay cation about six months in advance and travelled with our 22-month-old child. Arrival was smooth despite the holiday crowd. Parking signage was clear, valet service was quick, and the bell staff handled luggage and our stroller efficiently. Lobby check-in was busy, so we used the Club Floor, where check-in was much faster. Club access was a great decision for a family stay. It allowed us to dine comfortably without moving between floors, and the lounge felt warm and family-friendly. Food was limited but well prepared, and staff were patient even during peak dinner time. The room was clean and quiet, though slightly small for a toddler. A larger fridge was delivered quickly when we requested one for milk. Service recovery was handled professionally by the front desk, which reinforced the value of IHG loyalty. We were able to see the CN Tower lighting and fireworks from our room, which became a highlight of the evening. Overall, a solid choice for families staying downtown on New Year’s Eve. I would return for PDAC 2025

My husband and I stayed a great New Year eve night at this beautiful hotel. We had a great room with the view of the CN Tower and the beautiful fireworks from the Toronto Island as we counted down to the new year. Eunice at the front desk was quick and polite, very friendly and attentive. The check in was very easy and fast. The room is modern with ample room and great amenities. The room included comfortable robes and slippers. Highly recommended.
