Great staycation during the first week of March. Professional and friendly staff! Room was spacious and very clean. The pool temperature was warm and very comfortable. Hapy hour(s) at lobby bar was perfect of us before heading out to catch a show. Plenty of choice/options at the breakfast restaurant. Definitely a great place to stay and enjoy Toronto life. Highly recommend.

????? We stayed here last night and overall had a good experience. The hotel was clean, well kept, and had a nice atmosphere. Staff were pleasant and everything ran smoothly during our stay. The rooms are quite small and the hallways are very narrow, so it can feel a bit tight, especially if you have luggage. That would be my only real downside. On the positive side, the pool was very warm — honestly warmer than most hotels we’ve stayed at, which was a great bonus. For the price, it was definitely worth it. Overall, a solid stay and good value.

Granted, I came during off season and am not picky about hotels, but I don’t understand all of the negative reviews. My room was clean, quiet, and a standard size compared to other hotels I’ve been to. Check in/out was very quick and easy, and I also found the price to be quite reasonable considering the central location (however, USD conversion means I got a better deal than people paying with Canadian currency). Every staff member I interacted with was kind and helpful. Very convenient and safe location— I love cities and had business downtown so it was perfect for me, but if you don’t like the urban environment then this place is not for you.

I stayed here as I was getting surgery. I was originally set up in a very small room with no hot water. Needless to say, I was quite discouraged. My husband called the front desk and they went above and beyond. They moved us to another room as quickly as possible the hot water was splendid! And they did everything to make it up to us, including free breakfast vouchers l. When I returned from my surgery, the following day my room had been cleaned up so nicely and with such good care. The lady gave me extra pillows and towels. I would return here in a heartbeat. The staff are amazing and the hotel is very nice and clean. The food was great. Staying here made going through a tough time just a little bit easier. Thank you to the staff at the Holiday Inn!

Overall, I had a nice stay at this hotel. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable I’ve slept on, but it served its purpose and I slept fine. The only real downside was the parking. When we arrived, there was no clear signage indicating where hotel parking was located. I initially entered a nearby grocery store parking lot by mistake and had to call the hotel for clarification. The parking is actually at the back of the hotel, but this isn’t obvious and could definitely be better marked. Despite some negative reviews mentioning homelessness in the area, that was not my experience at all. Yes, you’ll see homeless individuals, as you would in any downtown core, but it was not overwhelming and did not impact my stay. The biggest highlight of this hotel is the location. Everything is within walking distance — restaurants, McDonald’s, Tim Hortons, Shoppers Drug Mart, Winners, and a grocery store nearby. The Eaton Centre is about a 20-minute walk, and the University of Toronto and Trinity College are also close by. Because of the central location, I barely needed my car during the stay. The room itself was good and well equipped. It included a fridge (no microwave), two bottled waters, and solid amenities. The bathroom had a glass shower door, which was a nice touch. I stayed on the quieter side of the hotel and found it very peaceful. I was told the front side is newer, but even where I stayed, the room didn’t feel outdated. One thing that could use improvement is the TV. While it was a flat screen, it didn’t support easy streaming access like Netflix or Disney+. Thankfully, I brought my own Roku, which worked perfectly. I didn’t try the breakfast because the buffet price was around $22–$23, which wasn’t worth it for me. With Tim Hortons so close, that was a much better option. Overall, this hotel is a solid choice if you want a convenient downtown location and a comfortable stay. The location alone makes it worth considering, and aside from the parking confusion and outdated TV setup, I had a very positive experience.

Highly recommend this warm and cozy hotel located in an amazing central neighbourhood in Toronto! Arrived just before the snowstorm and experienced warm greetings from Amannuel at the Front Desk--such kind hospitality and a genuine interest in helping us relax and get settled. Yishak the Front end Supervisor was extremely helpful as well--what a genuinely great human...he absolutely went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as good as it could be--(as we had to be at the hospital early the next morning). Yishak even offered to back out our vehicle as the parking lot is quite tricky to navigate (literally the only small quirk we experienced), he deserves special recognition as he literally brought tears to my eyes. Both of these gentlemen had smiles on their faces the entire time and made us feel welcome in the city and at the Holiday Inn. The room was super clean, cozy (yes the bathroom is a little small, but clean and had the essentials--including location!) and we both had the best sleep (comfortable beds, linens and pillows) that I think we've ever had at a hotel!! Enjoyed lunch at the restaurant (Thirty one) before we left and found the location quite convenient overall. Jenny was pleasant at check out and watched our luggage when we went for lunch...We will definitely be back! Thanks Holiday Inn--you have the right people, location, beds, pillows and attitude!

This is actually a nice, relatively affordable, hotel at a walking distance to the University of Toronto, the Yorkville district, and museums. Our room was certainly on the small side, but it was clean and comfortable. We chose to purchase the breakfast ahead of time, and the selection of hot and continental items was adequate for the price. There are several cheaper breakfast options on adjacent streets, however. The parking garage was extremely expensive and one of the tightest I’ve seen in my travels. There is a more manageable surface parking lot across Wood Street. Overall, price, location, and quality of service make this hotel a valued option for downtown Toronto.

Located close to the subway, Timmy's, Winners, Metro, LCBO and Starbucks it has everything nearby. The rooms were nice, modern, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was quite small and ours had a shower that would not drain well and by the end of the stay it was clogged. The front staff doesn't care. The ice machine was out on our floor. I had to find another floor waiting for the elevator which took time on every attempt. I told the front staff and was told to go to another floor to get my ice. They said they would send maintenance but after 4 days still broken. I will say the cleaning staff were great and always made sure we were good.

I just stayed last night and our experience was fantastic! Check-in was smooth with amazing customer service, our room was perfect for our needs, the breakfast buffet was really good with lots of selection and nice fresh fruit and the staff we encountered all over the hotel were always so friendly and warm. I only gave 4 stars because the parking garage was a bit strange making you drive on the wrong side of the road and spots were tight, but overall we had an excellent stay to enjoy a weekend adventure celebrating my twins birthday and I would stay there again.

Our stay in Holiday Inn was truly wonderful, and I’m happy to give this hotel a full five-star review. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. We had an unforeseen circumstance - our baby fell sick during travel - and the team immediately went above and beyond to accommodate us with an early check-in. Their kindness, understanding, and willingness to help meant more to us than they know. Throughout our entire stay, the staff continued to be supportive, attentive, and genuinely caring. It made a stressful situation feel so much lighter, and we are deeply grateful. The hotel’s location is excellent - steps away from the supermarket, public transportation, and all the highlights of downtown Toronto. It made getting around extremely easy and convenient. A special mention goes to the delicious fresh breakfast, which was a wonderful way to start each day. The food was tasty, well-prepared, and consistently replenished. The breakfast team deserves extra praise for their attentive service and their effort to make every guest feel welcomed and satisfied. Overall, The hotel offered exceptional hospitality, comfort, and convenience. We felt well taken care of from start to finish, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended!
