We very much enjoyed our stay at the Sutton Place. The staff were fabulous and our room on the 3rd floor was quiet and had a very comfortable very large double bed. A very well equipped room and the hotel had a very nice pool and gym. Well located in downtown and just a 15 minute walk from Union Station where the UP Express runs from Pearson International airport. Would definitely use again.

I have never felt compelled to write a hotel review before, but Sutton Place Toronto absolutely deserves one. My husband and I stayed here with our two young boys on Sunday to celebrate my birthday, and it turned into one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had as a family. We don’t often get the chance to get away or do something special together, which made the kindness and care we received feel even more meaningful. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. We were welcomed with an incredibly early check?in, a complimentary upgrade, and a beautiful birthday surprise of truffles waiting in our room. Those gestures may seem small to some, but to us, they meant everything. They made us feel genuinely seen, celebrated, and cared for. The hotel itself is stunning. Our room was spacious, luxurious, spotless, and unbelievably comfortable — perfect for a family with young children. Every detail felt thoughtful and high?end, from the bedding to the atmosphere. The location is also perfect for exploring Toronto. But what truly sets Sutton Place apart is the people. Julian, Jerwin, and DrAndre were outstanding — warm, professional, and genuinely kind in every interaction. Their hospitality elevated our stay in a way we will never forget. I want to also extend a heartfelt thank?you to the housekeeping staff as well. They work so hard behind the scenes, and their friendliness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. I also want to mention Abrielle, the hotel’s restaurant. Before arriving, I had read reviews saying it wasn’t affordable, wasn’t kid?friendly, and that the breakfast menu felt overly fancy or pretentious. But after dining at Abrielle ourselves, I can confidently say the concerns were unfounded. The prices were very reasonable ($14 for a classic breakfast!), the food was high quality, and there were plenty of approachable options — even for kids. We were pleasantly surprised and genuinely impressed. I would never stay anywhere else in Toronto again. I’ve already been telling everyone I know that Sutton Place is the best hotel in the city and the only place they should be staying. This hotel exceeded every expectation and gave our family memories we will cherish forever. Thank you for making my birthday — and our family getaway — feel so incredibly special.

Stayed here a second time last weekend for a Blue Jay's game and it was fantastic. The service is a 10/10, the beds are super comfortable, the pillows were perfect and the room was surprisingly quiet considering the location. There are also excellent min-bar snacks and options in the room. This will definitely be our go-to hotel for when we visit Toronto. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at The Sutton Place Hotel in Toronto for two nights in April, 2026. This charming six-storey boutique hotel has a warm, old-Toronto feel paired with attentive, old-fashioned service that made us feel genuinely welcome. Our room was exceptionally comfortable, with beautiful linens, a spacious bathroom, and a terrific walk-in shower. Everything was thoughtfully appointed and exactly what we needed for a relaxing stay. What truly stood out was the staff—professional, helpful, and consistently gracious. Their attention to detail elevated the entire experience. The location couldn’t have been better for our plans—it suited us perfectly. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, character, and excellent service in Toronto.

We stayed one night! The local was perfect from the GO train! The heated pool was relaxing and gym had all the equipment you need. Rooms were beautiful, contemporary and spacious. Beds and pillow comfortable. Seating area near the window was comfy. Only 7 floors which was perfect - didnt have to wait for elevators or crowds. The restaurant was delicious for breakfast/ brunch and room service was delicious. Will definitely stay there again.

Overall a good experience for a corporate booking at the SPH. Only constructive feedback I’d share is that the 7th floor media room I believe was advertised to have a lot of natural light, though, given the room positioning and the way our round table was setup, not a lot of light came into the room. A lot of it was covered with heavy blind covers and the furniture set / use of space was not the greatest. The food selection was quite good, especially the power bowls we chose for our catered lunch, but the snack selection was mostly sweets but was not a deal breaker. Everyone seemed happy with their rooms and the service/preparation/and communications were all extremely smooth leading up to our visit. Thanks!

My expectations were really high after reading all the reviews, but overall I'd rate my experience of staying here for 6 nights for work a 3.5. What's good: Comfortable, spacious rooms, location with street car (tram) stop right outside. Beds are comfortable and rooms are individually heated which is helpful in winter. The cleaning was decent, some dust on ledges. What wasn't so good: the restaurant. It's acting like it's completely independent of the hotel and doesn't prioritise guests at all. Breakfast is not included and it's in no way a 'normal' hotel breakfast. It is overpriced and pretentious (see photo of menu), with no options for someone who just wants a simple breakfast before a day's work. There are hardly any vegetarian options, and nothing vegan. Everything is unnecessarily complicated. Just do a 25 or 20 dollar breakfast buffet on week days at least and you'd make way more from hotel guests and it would be easier for your staff. As it was, I had to get breakfast out almost every day. So inconvenient. There is also no room service from the restaurant, which business travellers appreciate. I didn't eat any other meals here either. I didn't have a great check in experience, the member of staff was from a sister hotel because it was the staff party so I can't rate him badly but it meant he gave me the wrong card holder with QR info about a different hotel and the wrong WiFi information. Rest of staff were fine but I can't say I had the great experience of other guests.

Our stay at the Sutton Place had been amazing, we will definitely come back whenever we need to stay in Toronto. The location is great, within walking distance to everything. Room is nice with quality furnishings, and toiletries offered are L'Occitaine. Gym is also good for hotel a gym. Best of all is the service! I just casually mentioned it was my bday, and after dinner I came back to complimentary dessert with a card in my room.

We just spent a night at this fabulous hotel. I took a chance on this hotel through a travel discount website and I am so glad that I did! Pleasantly surprised with how well appointed the rooms were. Nice high ceilings, well appointed fixtures and decor, service and professionalism top notch from their fron desk to their valet staff! Beautiful high end toiletries, loofah pads and all the small details taken care of to really make you feel very welcomed and invited. I will certainly be staying here again for my future trips to Toronto!

Sublimely Sutton! This is going to be my go to hotel when I stay in Toronto. From the moment I arrived and through the time I had to bid farewell the stay here exceeded my expectation. The room was spacious, clean and with a comfortable bed where I slept like a baby. It was fantastic place to work remotely as I was able to go to some fabulous restaurants and explore the city very easily at night as the tram stops right outside of the hotel. Special thanks to D’Andre, Jerwin, and the rest of the team for being some friendly, welcoming, professional and always being so wonderful. It was hard to leave, but I look forward to returning back again next year. If you’re debating whether to stay here or not…I’ll make it easy for you. Stay here!!!
