The Sheraton Centre Toronto is a polished, waterfront hotel revered for its legendary views and excellent Club Lounge, though feedback highlights mixed experiences with reliability during high-occupancy events.
We have stayed at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel many times over the years, and it somehow always feels like coming home. What really makes this place special is the people. Brian in the lounge is one of those people who instantly makes you feel welcome. He remembers guests, takes the time to chat, and creates a warm, easy atmosphere that you look forward to coming back to. We have also stayed here during some pretty stressful periods of our lives, and I honestly don’t think the staff realize how much the environment they create helps. There is something about the kindness and consistency here that makes it easier to breathe when things feel heavy. It was also great to see Norica again and learn she is now working with the events team. We have known her from previous stays, and she has always been wonderful, so it is nice to see her in that role. And Anastasia in guest services is fantastic. Friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the location is hard to beat, but the people are what keep us coming back. It is rare to find a place where the hospitality feels this genuine. Bravo for continuously going above and beyond.
Nice location. Beautiful hotel. Wonderful service. However if you are looking for a romantic place…that’s not the place for you. It’s more a business hotel. With conventions happening everywhere and people seating at the tables with laptops pretending they are working but in reality they just have a miserable job and want show off pretending they are so busy and important. Do miss the breakfast at the top the hotel. Amazing food, unbelievable good service and nice view of the city. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel with lots of eating options close by. I had a king room with a great view of the CN Tower. The bed linens were clean and comfortable. There was a fridge, safe, decent sized TV, desk, chair with an ottoman and the amenities were nice. Check in was super easy and very friendly. I would stay here again.
Overall, I love my stay at this hotel! I thought it was quite nice and the room was everything that I needed it to be. The bed was quite comfortable. I had a great sleep. I wish the bathtub was a bit deeper, but that is such a minor thing in terms of a basic hotel room. My only real complaint was that the room service was extremely overpriced, considering it came in a Cardboard take away container. There was no point of ordering room service versus getting something off Uber eats or DoorDash. Honestly, anything I ordered from food delivery service would’ve been better than the food I ordered on room service. Not the experience I was expecting it all for the premium that I paid. I would love my room service to come on a real plate and with real utensils, considering I’m paying the same service fee as food delivery.
????? Exceptional Stay for Foodies and Pet Owners I had a fantastic experience at this 5-star Sheraton. Two things really set it apart: • Pet-Friendly: They are truly welcoming to four-legged guests. They provided a high-quality Sheraton signature pet bed and bowls, making the stay stress-free for both me and my dog. • The Club Lounge: Easily one of the best lounge experiences I’ve had. The evening hors d'oeuvres were substantial and high-quality (more like a light dinner), and the drink selection was excellent with a great atmosphere.
During check-in, the fire alarm went off and the entire lobby was filled with people. An Asian-looking employee (most likely from China) gave us our room keys and told us we could go up to our room on the 35th floor. We asked if it was safe, to which she said it was, and that they didn't know what had happened yet and were waiting for the firefighters, and again advised us to take the stairs to our room rather than use the elevator. Nothing was mentioned about the lounge and pool at the property either. We have platinum status, but the employee didn't even notice or thank us for our elite status, nor did she tell us about the welcome bonus points, which is understandable and forgivable in such a stressful situation. We decided not to take the risk and didn't go up to our room until the fire alarm went off, which lasted over 2 hours. Earlier, In the morning, when we boarded the plane, we realized we had forgotten our dental kits, so we asked the hotel via chat to leave it in the room until our arrival. When we, exhausted after a long time sitting in the crowded lobby, went up to our room and wanted to get ready for bed, the dental kit we ordered in the morning was not there. “Very good service”. Had to call the reception and wait. A separate story is the Wi-Fi, when you connect and select that you are a Bonvoy member and enter your name and room number, the system offers you to pay $ 14.95 although the information below indicates that the Internet is free for members. Had to call the reception again and ask if this was a problem, to which the agent unfriendly refused, saying that I need to select the Internet for $ 14,95 and they will not charge after check-out. Well, this is a very strange system. The elite lounge had a very nice view but at 9pm there was nothing there except a paid bar and free soda. Disappointing for a 4 star hotel. The room was clean and bright. The cleaners were great. In the morning we asked at the reception if we could extend our stay for 1 hour, but we were informed that this room was already assigned to another guest and we can stay for a maximum of half an hour. Back to the elite benefits, Platinum and above are guaranteed late check-out until 4pm. This is not based on hotel occupancy or front desk staff mood. This is a guaranteed benefit for this category. There is a real need to train the reception agents. Very disappointed with the service. The final straw during this "wonderful" stay at the Sheraton Hotel is check-out. The same agent who checked us in yesterday quietly asked how our stay was, to which we replied that it was the worst in the Marriott chain. To which the receptionist remained silent and sent us to the free coffee and croissants in the lobby. It was very rude and unprofessional. We will never return and will advise everyone not to stay at this hotel.
Amazing stay in the heart of downtown Toronto. The location couldn’t be better — I even walked through snow and rain to the Eaton Centre, revisiting one of the most beautiful shopping malls I first saw back in 1996. I’m so glad it still stands as a true landmark and flagship shopping destination in Canada. The Club Lounge on the 43rd floor is a highlight of the hotel. The panoramic views of the CN Tower, City Hall, the Toronto sign, and the outdoor skating rink are absolutely stunning. It’s such a peaceful and elegant space, made even better by the wonderful team working there — special thanks to Grace, Dinesh, and Charmaine for their warm hospitality. The indoor pool and gym on the 3rd floor are also impressive — spacious, spotless, and perfect for relaxing after a long day. One unexpected surprise was discovering the underground tunnel that connects directly to the Eaton Centre, which made exploring the city even more convenient and memorable. Overall, a truly special stay.
Great stay. The city view from the room was beautiful, and the location is excellent.Right across from City Hall with direct underground access to PATH, which is very convenient. The Path also connects directly to the Green P underground parking. Even though the hotel has been around for years, it doesn’t feel old at all. The bathroom felt renovated. The executive lounge looked modern and stylish, and breakfast offered a good variety. Service was also very good: the hotel reached out before check-in to ask about our needs, and most requests were well accommodated. Would definitely stay here again.
Stayed at the Sheraton Centre Toronto and had a really pleasant experience overall. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of downtown with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and major attractions. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring the city. The staff were friendly and professional, always ready to help with directions or requests. The indoor–outdoor pool and fitness centre were also a great bonus. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that check-in was a bit slow and some areas felt slightly dated. Still, it’s a solid choice for both business and leisure stays, and I would definitely stay here again. Videos taken from 12th floor with Nathan Philips Square view.
My friend and I had a wonderful stay at the hotel! Clean and comfortable room with amazing city view. Special thanks ?? to Anastasia at the reception – she was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Thanks to her recommendations, we discovered great places to eat and the best spots to visit in the city. Her kindness and professionalism made our trip truly memorable. Thank you so much!
