2 months agoThe hotel check-in staff engaged us in a brief conversation upon arrival, which I truly appreciated and helped set a wonderful tone for our one-night stay. My sister and I were in transit from Toronto back to the United States by bus the following day, so this stop was short but memorable. The only minor issue was that the elevator nearest our room was not connected to the lobby at the time, making access slightly inconvenient. Aside from that, everything was excellent. It was a pleasant surprise to see the lobby decorations transition from a cherry blossom theme to a summer theme during our stay. The location was perfect—right next to Union Station, making transportation incredibly convenient. The gym and pool facilities were outstanding. I especially enjoyed using the high-tech treadmill and following a workout guided by the virtual coach on the TV. It was a fun and unique experience. Overall, we wish we could have stayed longer. We were also fortunate to book our room at a rate lower than the usual price, which made the experience even better. I would gladly stay here again.

3 months agoRoyal York is elegant, refined, and beautiful. I stayed in a Signature room. It was huge with a fireplace, 2 chaise lounges, a love seat, a desk, and a fantastic bathroom. It was luxurious. The limocation is amazing - close to sights, very walkable, close to various transit, etc. Theres a free shuttle to Billy Bishop city airport from the side entrance too. Would definitely stay here again.

3 months agoAbsolutely gorgeous hotel. I love the rich history and all of the timeless character that they've kept over the years. Definitely felt like a luxury hotel. Our room was so clean and all of the amenities were very nice. The slippers and bathrobe were great. We did the public parking in Royal Bank south tower and it was great that the PATH was connected right to the hotel, it was raining so the underground walk was nice. Check-in was quick and staff was helpful. Love how close it is to CN tower and Rogers Center. Definitely our favorite hotel in Toronto.

3 months agoThis hotel is so beautiful and elegant! They have made it very upscale and gorgeous. Both the lobby bars are beautiful. The entrance is gorgeous. They have really elevated this historic building and made it a beautiful modern hotel while still staying true to the historic importance of the building. Rooms are amazing with cozy beds and a nice bathroom. Great toiletries and I love they have cotton swabs. The beds were very comfortable. Big pillows. Plush blankets. Nice bathroom. The pool and hot tub were lovely. Very much a vacation and a treat to stay here.

4 months agoI love this hotel. I stayed at room 4199 from the 23-26 and then extended to the 28. It was my first time, and when I first entered the rooms I did feel like the style is a bit outdated. However, once I actually interacted with everything, it is all high quality, in pristine condition, clean and functional. I also realized it fits the overall aesthetic of the hotel itself, so why change it? I was so comfortable in that room I even extended it for 2 more days. The coffee machine works great, the bed is very comfortable. Room cleaning is thorough, and room service was beyond my expectations. I’ve stayed in flashy new hotels that don’t give me the same vibe as this one. There are definitely a lot of business travellers but they do add a good busy vibe to the central bar, while the room areas remain quiet. The food is amazing in this hotel, I had to force myself to eat elsewhere or I wouldn’t have explored other eats at all. The gym also blew me away, you can have a full weightlifting workout with ample space. Beats any other hotel I’ve been at.

6 months agoIn general I loved the stay, we had a king suite with a city view and loved the space and the facilities that the hotel offered. We couldn't use the pool and gym, but hit up both The Library bar and Clockwork for evening drinks. Breakfast at Reign was great esp if Victoria was your server. I had early mornings and her energy with everything from placing your order to getting your food and requests top notch! The only issue I had was the telephone shower head not working when I got to the room, but they were able to fix it right away! Would stay at the Fairmont Royal York again!

6 months agoWhen we are looking to come and stay downtown, we truly love and pick this hotel. From the moment you check-in until you check-out, your satisfaction is the hotels top priority. I loved receiving text messages asking if everything was to our satisfaction and if they can assist you with anything. I wish I remembered the young lady that checked us in on Friday afternoon, she was great! Loved the customer service and staff. The room was very cozy and clean, but you can hear people talking etc, otherwise we found it very quiet our night! The lounges especially the Reign and the Library lounge are truly incredible. Wonderful ambiance. I also love that it’s connected to Union station and the path. So convenient! Thanks again for another great stay!

6 months agoOur stay was absolutely wonderful. The hotel went above and beyond to make my daughter’s birthday special, surprising her with a handwritten card, a cake, and a room upgrade. We loved our room—especially the view of the CN Tower—and the toiletries were a lovely touch. I also really appreciated the hotel’s commitment to sustainability. We made full use of the pool, sauna, hot tub, and steam room, all of which were fantastic. Every staff member we interacted with was warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be returning.

6 months agoWow! This hotel is a beauty! Overall we had an amazing time here. It is across the street from union station where you can access trains, subway, and buses. The hotel itself gives off a grande vibe with traditional architecture and design. Rooms are upgraded to match that vibe. The service was impeccable. I was pleasantly surprised. I have been to many hotels around the world - the major brands. But the service i received here was above all. February 21st - to all the front desk staff that worked there, I’m sorry i didnt remember your names but you were incredible!!

7 months agoI had an incredible experience at the Fairmont. The service was exceptional from start to finish, but I have to give a special shoutout to the housekeeping team — they went above and beyond every single day! My room was always spotless, and I was so impressed (and touched!) to find my clothes neatly folded when I returned. Room service was also top-notch. Every meal I ordered was 10/10 — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The chocolate-covered strawberries they sometimes included with my dinner were such a thoughtful and delicious surprise. Thank you, Fairmont team, for making my stay so comfortable and memorable. I can’t wait to come back!
