In general I loved the stay, we had a king suite with a city view and loved the space and the facilities that the hotel offered. We couldn't use the pool and gym, but hit up both The Library bar and Clockwork for evening drinks. Breakfast at Reign was great esp if Victoria was your server. I had early mornings and her energy with everything from placing your order to getting your food and requests top notch! The only issue I had was the telephone shower head not working when I got to the room, but they were able to fix it right away! Would stay at the Fairmont Royal York again!

When we are looking to come and stay downtown, we truly love and pick this hotel. From the moment you check-in until you check-out, your satisfaction is the hotels top priority. I loved receiving text messages asking if everything was to our satisfaction and if they can assist you with anything. I wish I remembered the young lady that checked us in on Friday afternoon, she was great! Loved the customer service and staff. The room was very cozy and clean, but you can hear people talking etc, otherwise we found it very quiet our night! The lounges especially the Reign and the Library lounge are truly incredible. Wonderful ambiance. I also love that it’s connected to Union station and the path. So convenient! Thanks again for another great stay!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The hotel went above and beyond to make my daughter’s birthday special, surprising her with a handwritten card, a cake, and a room upgrade. We loved our room—especially the view of the CN Tower—and the toiletries were a lovely touch. I also really appreciated the hotel’s commitment to sustainability. We made full use of the pool, sauna, hot tub, and steam room, all of which were fantastic. Every staff member we interacted with was warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be returning.

Wow! This hotel is a beauty! Overall we had an amazing time here. It is across the street from union station where you can access trains, subway, and buses. The hotel itself gives off a grande vibe with traditional architecture and design. Rooms are upgraded to match that vibe. The service was impeccable. I was pleasantly surprised. I have been to many hotels around the world - the major brands. But the service i received here was above all. I had an incredible experience at the Fairmont. The service was exceptional from start to finish, but I have to give a special shoutout to the housekeeping team — they went above and beyond every single day! My room was always spotless, and I was so impressed (and touched!) to find my clothes neatly folded when I returned. Room service was also top-notch. Every meal I ordered was 10/10 — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The chocolate-covered strawberries they sometimes included with my dinner were such a thoughtful and delicious surprise. Thank you, Fairmont team, for making my stay so comfortable and memorable. I can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful lobby, architecture, and history including the clock tower bar and especially the comfortable library bar! Rooms are somewhat dated and beds soft. Food was good but not outstanding! Location is very convenient for public transit as well as sightseeing! GREAT service from Ms. Joy Dandal, who works at the Front Desk to ensure best customer experience!

Fairmont is our favourite chain but the Fairmont Royal York really is our most favourite hotel. Our stays are always exceptional. Venue is warm, welcoming and clean. Staff are incredible from the moment you arrive at the door. My husband currently has some temporary mobility challenges and his every need is very much accommodated. It's never an inconvenience for the staff in any of the bars or restaurants or for the staff in the rooms. They go the extra mile to meet his needs and make sure he's comfortable. The team at Clockwork, Library Bar and Reign provide incredible service. The team on the Gold Floor are exceptional.

Wonderful stay at this historic property. Rooms were insanely clean and comfortable. Valet parking at check in/out was seamless. Location was perfect for our needs. Fitness room was very clean and had everything you need. Unfortunately the pool was closed during our stay. I had a very disappointed child because of this. In a way it’s a good thing (it gives me an excuse to go back). In room dining was fast, fresh and well presented.

Amazing customer service from start to finish . The gentleman who upgraded our room was so accommodating giving me a tour of the two rooms back in November when I was in town.. two rooms - 1 Renovated 1 not. We choose to upgrade to the renovated. So glad we did. He also told me he could put a request in for a corner room . Wow what a view of the CN tower. This was so special for us. Great location in the best historical area of Toronto. The holiday white trees and decorations were amazing and as guests of the hotel it was easy making reservations in the library and clock bars.They were very busy so glad we had those reservations. I hope to stay again next December

Spent the night in a Fairmont Gold Room. The whole experience was fantastic. The highlight for me was the private lounge access as a quiet space to relax and unwind. Access to unlimited non alcoholic beverages and included breakfast with afternoon & evening snacks truly felt like a home away from home. The staff that I interacted with on the Gold Floor were friendly, personable and genuinely cared about my needs. The rooms were very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and I was lucky enough that my room had a view of Front St, Scotia Bank Arena, Lake Ontario & the CN Tower! The indoor pool and gym were amazing as well. I highly recommend visiting the Royal York during the Christmas holidays as did I. The lobby was transformed into a winter wonderland and every corner you turn is a photo opportunity. I was truly impressed with my first Fairmont experience and now look forward to not only returning to the Royal York but also discovering the brand in other locations as well.
