The TOOR Hotel is a recently renovated Hyatt property offering modern rooms with amenities like automated blinds and Nespresso machines. Guests consistently praise the responsive and friendly staff, particularly in the restaurant and front desk. However, some reviews highlight concerns about the location's environment and limited breakfast options.
Terrific new hotel with very nice amenitized rooms (nespresso, automatic blinds, charging pads, one touch lighting). The room was also very spacious with excellent views. Best of all though, the staff with so responsive. I requested a few things during my stay like coffee and an iron, and they responded in less than 5 minutes. The location is also close enough to the financial district that it’s good for work without feeling like you’re right on top of everyone. Overall, a great find.
Arrived at 8am and was greeted by Shreya. She was very helpful and provided a very nice checking experience. Clarifying the parking options and that you can schedule pickup time (especially in the morning when there can be a wait). Location is convenient for downtown shopping and getting around the city as there are two street car lines close. The new rooms are very nice. Water was hot with good pressure. Excerise facilities were good.
We stayed for 2 nights. The room was clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed and more. The staff were great. Friendly and accommodating. The only thing that made this disappointing was the area it was located in. We often had to dodge meth addicts and homeless people when walking back to the hotel. Not a deal breaker but something to keep in mind if you stay here.
Stayed there for a week, and it was really great. Location is fantastic, close to everything but pretty quiet all things considered. The staff was incredibly nice, like really really nice. The restaurant was shockingly good. The rooms are in great shape. And the bathroom was nice, I called it the poo with the view. I’m only taking a star away because of weird placement of the TV, and when I came back to my room, my pillows had been placed to make me feel like I didn’t know how to use a bed anymore.
Had a great stay here. The room was perfect for us as a couple and the location is convenient and walkable. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The Eaton center is conveniently close by, as are a bunch of good food spots. You can take the train or tram and go virtually anywhere. The keycards worked perfectly, the amenities in the room were great, the Canadian shampoo made my hair super soft, etc. What I think made this hotel most special were the staff. They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! Big respect to the Asian guy working the reception night shift, I unfortunately didn't get his name but he's like the perfect person for customer service. Super friendly. Other comments mention that the area is somewhat shady, but really it's just the Queen tram spot that has some tweakers. Even then, it was fine. No one bothered us and we used the tram regularly. It's not like the hotel can control the drug problem in the city.
We recently booked two rooms at TOOR and were very happy with our stay. The rooms are clean and reasonably sized for downtown Toronto. All staff we interacted with were extremely friendly and helpful. Would absolutely book again.
Had a great stay at Toor. Chris and team were very welcoming and even helped to changed my room when I had requested one with a better view. Overall very nice and good, central location. Down the street, I did notice a couple of strange characters on a few occasions but keep your wits with you and it shouldn’t be any issue.
I recently visited TOOR Hotel while touring the grounds as potential meeting and event sites for my clients, and I was truly blown away. The architecture is stunning—modern yet inviting—and it genuinely gives you that home away from home feeling from the moment you walk in. What really set the experience apart was Lenore, the Planning Director. Her depth of knowledge, attention to detail, and personable approach made the tour exceptional. She took the time to understand my clients’ needs and confidently walked me through how the spaces could be used to create memorable experiences. I left feeling inspired and excited, and I can’t wait to book TOOR Hotel for an upcoming event. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful, well-thought-out venue with an incredible team behind it.
I had my assistant book a room at this hotel, my flight to Toronto was cancelled due to weather. Unbeknownst to me, my assistant booked a prepaid room and as a result, even though I gave more than 24 hours notice to cancel, they were still only willing to give 50% credit on my card. This new hotel by Hyatt with these policies is NOT consumer friendly, I certainly would not recommend staying there….read the FINE print!!
This hotel is a great addition to the Hyatt portfolio in Toronto. My stay here was great, played in big part by the exceptional breakfast for Globalists. I truly hope that it doesn’t change. The staff were all very friendly and hospitable, and 4pm late checkout was added without any issues. The normal rooms here are quite small, so I appreciated being upgraded to a deluxe room. Being a new hotel, it’s filled with modern conveniences like motorized blinds, lighting controls by the bed, wireless charging and usb c charging ports. The soundproofing is also quite good, I couldn’t hear any street noise. The shower head was a little disappointing, it didn’t provide a lot of coverage as the stream was too narrow. I did like the toiletries by Zenology, which were also made in Canada. I liked that there’s a terrace on the 14th floor, which provides great views. The surrounding area isn’t the best, and it’s a little bit of a walk to the nearest subway station at the Eaton Centre. I personally never felt unsafe walking around, but it’s also not an area I would like to be in any longer than I needed to.
