I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Riu Plaza. The service was truly exceptional from start to finish. The entire team went above and beyond what I would have expected. They were incredibly helpful, collaborative, attentive, and genuinely committed to making sure everything went smoothly. Their level of service and willingness to help really stood out. It was such a pleasure staying at this hotel, and it has honestly become a huge favorite of mine. ?? I would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend the Riu Plaza to anyone looking for outstanding service and a truly welcoming experience. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so memorable!

We stayed for 3 nights. The room was more than spacious enough, the beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. The room service was excellent, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was just as good as you would expect from any Riu Hotel. The view from our room on the 7th floor could have been better, but that’s really just a minor point. You have to keep in mind that you can’t expect the best view in such a big city, especially when staying downtown. In our opinion, if you’re mainly using the hotel to sleep and don’t plan to spend much time in your room during the day, the view is absolutely fine. The CN Tower is about a 10-minute walk away, and there are plenty of great restaurants and places to eat close to the hotel. The lobby bar is also really nice, with a good selection of drinks. All in all, we can honestly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay during their vacation in Toronto. Thanks again - especially to the outstanding receptionists for their service!

I just stayed for a business trip and ended up extending my stay through the weekend and upgrading my room so my wife could join me. From the moment you walk into the lobby the service is exquisite. The men who welcome you in and offer to take your bags were kind and very accommodating for the entire week I stayed. The women who checked me in (twice) and answered my questions were very kind and friendly and made everything feel very clear and smooth. The young women who hosted the breakfast every morning were very efficient and kind. I also requested an extra blanket on two occasions through the Riu app and it was so nice to have it delivered right to my door. The service is probably the best part of this hotel. Give all of these people a raise!

We stayed one night in July. The entire hotel is clean and inviting. You are greeted as soon as you walk in the door. The bed was super comfortable, Big windows (that open). Buffet breakfast was excellent - lots of choices available. Washrooms were very clean. My only (tiny) concern was the bathroom door is loud at night (barn door style). But it's not enough of a concern to affect my rating. We will definitely stay again.

Great stay!! We only encountered friendly staff from arrival to departure. Our room was on the 23rd floor and it had a wonderful view, especially at night. The hotel was always clean and the hotel air freshener greets you at the door. The location was perfect — very walkable. Lots of restaurants, grocery stores, and more nearby. Kudos to the chef and the entire breakfast crew. The complimentary breakfast didn't disappoint. My family and I appreciated the welcoming presence of Ali and so many others in the lobby. Perfect, better than expected. Modern comfortable room, bed, bedroom and shower. Great breakfast and beautiful lounge on 27th. I’m not sure what resort fee is for since thitel doesn’t have a pool, but we had nice stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Riu, the property was beautiful, clean, and overall a great experience. However, the only inconvenience I faced was at the front desk. Upon arriving early (around 9am), I asked if I could have either two beds or a room with a sofa bed, which I had already paid for the accessible king with sofa or sofa bed. (They tried to not even give me that). I was told none were available and that only a king room was ready, not the accessible king though, unless I wanted to wait another 3 hours. The front desk manager repeatedly insisted that all rooms with two beds were fully booked. However, after I pressed the issue, a third staff member was able to find a room for me by 1pm. What was frustrating is that two queen bed rooms were still showing as available online the entire time. It felt like I was being pressured to accept a room I didn’t pay for. I appreciate that the situation was eventually resolved, but the initial handling by the front desk left a bad impression.

Breakfast buffet was amazing. Also, the ability and ease to hold our bags while we continued our vacation in checkout day is great!

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Riu Plaza Chicago. It was in a great location, close to everything. The rooms were beautiful and clean, the staff was helpful and kind, and the complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious with so many options. Highly recommend heading up to the rooftop for some drinks and appetizers as well, it has such a beautiful view and was overall a great experience.

Nick at the front desk was awesome! The hotel was super clean and the breakfast buffet was pretty good! Jesus at the bar was just as awesome. It was not just another transaction for them. They made up feel like we were more than another customer. They also offer luggage storage which came in super handy since our flight was at night so we explored the city more without having to carry around luggage. The only feedback I would give that may be an opportunity is on the app under promotions late check out is listed as a promotion but was kind of misleading since we would have had to pay for it. In all everything was great and this is our new go to hotel.
