We stayed at the Great Canadian Hotel for 2 nights as a family of four. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and we had a pleasant stay overall. The casino was nice and had a huge selection of slot machines, so many that it's easy to get lost! However, we were disappointed that there were very few blackjack tables open, and the only available tables had a minimum bet of $50. I'm giving 3 stars because when we returned to the hotel one evening, there was an employee strike blocking all the hotel entrances. We had to wait outside for about an hour before we could get in. There were lines of cars, and the situation was very frustrating, especially with young children. While I understand that the strike was beyond the hotel's direct control, the lack of access and long wait significantly impacted our experience.

Love this hotel for so many reasons. Firstly the saltwater pool, steam room and sauna is top tier. Room service breakfast is the best! Big portions, it comes quickly and well seasoned. Today we ate downstairs at the lobby bar and the two woman working breakfast and the bar are rockstars because they were busy and handled it really well. The casino is clean, easy to navigate, bartenders are super friendly and knowledgeable. Front desk is polite and housekeeping goes above and beyond. We came in to fresh pressed linens, things organized and all towels stocked. The view from the hotel was the racetrack which was soooooo cool. Definitely get a room that’s an even number (racetrack view)!

Wow.. I don’t understand the negative reviews - I’m from England and for me this was absolutely top tier. All staff are friendly and kind and even housekeeping staff so lovely (not always the case I’ve found in other spots) - gorgeous and modern room actually big! Lovely views in the evening and so clean.. lost 40 dollars in the casino but least I had the experience! Just fantastic. The only advice I can give is please when checking in mention where amenities like the pool are etc.. should’ve used the pool it looked lovely and the hot tub - didn’t get around to it.. should’ve!

TEN STAR STAY! We stayed as a group of 3 in the 2-bedroom Track View Suite. The suite was wonderful, beds super comfortable, modern and well thought out. The view from our suite was spectacular and well worth the upgrade. Staff are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Parking in the covered parking garage is free and very easily accessed from the hotel. Valet is also available for a $20/$40 fee with an equal credit then awarded for the Casino. They also have free shuttles to/from areas in the city and the airport. We did not utilize the many amenities ie: pool paradise or the 24-hour gym however did take a tour to both areas and will definitely use on our next stay. Many dining selections available (7+ from fine dining to cafes). Our dinner at the Copperhorn Meet House was 5 star and reasonably priced. The casino is filled with excitement and there are a lot of rewards programs for players – definitely worth registering for the Rewards if playing at the Casino! Free refreshments at self serve beverage stations. I would highly recommend a stay @ The Great Canadian Casino/Resort Toronto.

Had a staycation with my kids during March break. As soon as we walked into the room my 5yr old said wow what a nice room lol. It was spacious and clean. Washroom was very clean too and modern. The lobby was beautiful. It felt like we actually went away. We used the pool and hot tub which was great. Warm, lots of seating and good security in place, you had to swipe your room card to get in so no random ppl would enter the pool area which is nice. I also went to the theater at the hotel recently for a show and it was great!! Very big space and felt comfortable for the 3hr show. Walked through the casino and it was beautiful! We paid just over $200 for one night which I think is very good pricing for Toronto for all you get there. And parking was free!!!

Went to see Nmixx here and seated at F4 DD (row4). The security guard is waaaaay to far in the aisle. They usually stand behind and in front of the barricade. This guy just blocked the whole show. I could only see on the left of him. I added a pic where I sat and where he was standing and where he should be...

We saw a concert here last night, none of the staff were able to assist us in finding our seats, we set off in groups of strangers to help each other find them. The drink lines were the most ridiculous things I’ve seen, 4 bartenders per floor for 3000+ people? It took us 45 mins to get a drink. The sound is very good, no complaints there.

Came for the concert of Cantopop queen Janice ??? It was amazing.?. Loved the atmosphere so much! ^?·????? Small venue but super warm vibe.?.? Felt like I was back in HK ? surrounded by Hong Kong people ????????????

For venues, I watched the Max Amini show. The show was fantastic but the venue itself wasn't the best. The floor seating wasn't properly labelled and even though the usher took us to our seats, we were seated in the wrong seats and had to move during the show. These seats weren't labeled which made it confusing not only for the guests but the ushers as well. The area to get into the casino was absolute chaos. It took literally 20 minutes to get through and get parking. Not the best place to have a venue of this magnitude. It's best to find somewhere else to hold such an event.

Amazing venue. Will be back. Very spacious and clean. Hannah and Laura were absolutely incredible. You two amazing ladies along with the other amazing crew members (did not get names) made my mom who was very sick (just got out of the hospital), my grandma who can’t do stairs well and my night all the more special. You guys were truly amazing! Thank you so much! Air supply was fantastic
